    What did the dumb hick say? He was just going on about how he’s been a huge disappointment as a Cub and then as Maddon pulls him he goes “man the Cubs are paying some of these guys a lot of money.” Nothing necessarily untrue but in the context of the game it just comes off kind of silly to me. Of all the directions he could have gone with Quintana, he said we're paying him a lot? He's making about 1/3 as much as Homer Bailey.

    Just keep that 3 game cushion until the Cardinals remember they aren’t very good.

    Quintana is really terrible, from a pitching perspective.

    The problem is we'll still have to put garbage like Schwarber, Contreras, Happ, Bote, Almora (vs lefties), etc. in the final 3 spots. Makes me want to puke.

    Because I didn't think about it very much. EDIT: Full disclosure: I finished my first draft and realized I didn't have a 2B, so I just threw Zobrist in. so, your first draft didn't include the cubs most consistent hitter? correct.

    why wouldn't you have bryant at 3B, murphy at 2b, and zobrist in rf? i'm pretty sure murphy can't even throw a ball from 3b to 1b Because I didn't think about it very much. EDIT: Full disclosure: I finished my first draft and realized I didn't have a 2B, so I just threw Zobrist in.

    Zobrist-2B Murphy-3B Bryant-RF Rizzo-1B Baez-SS Schwarber-LF Contreras-C Heyward-CF is pretty cool, especially when you don't think about defense or people who disagree with the gay lifestyle.

    Probably shouldn’t have started the 6th. Should have taken him out after the first hit. Inexcusable not to take him out after the walk.

    Well he's not the next Mookie Betts, that's for sure. After starting the year with Ozuna, Pham, and Fowler, they're just thrilled to have an outfielder they wouldn't be afraid to have over for dinner.

    Criticize it and dismiss it all you want, but the great dark purge seems to have really lifted morale in that clubhouse.

    All of our starters (except Hamels) are terrible and they’re all signed for like 8 more years.

    I always fully buy in to relief prospects who put up video game numbers in the low minors and I don't think I've been right yet. Mekkes is the one though.
