    I don't think the drop from Cishek to Rosario is worth the L/R advantage.

    Like, the rosiest possible upside you could possibly hope for with Duensing is left-handed Kintzler. I really don't see the need to keep him on the roster.

    And sure enough, Roederer leads off the game with a triple and later scores, then follows that up with a HR! When I was in high school, we played this team in football that had identical twin brothers - one was an amazing receiver and the other was nothing special. Every once in awhile, the crappy twin would have a great game and the good one wouldn't do much. Everyone was pretty sure they were switching jerseys on those games to catch teams off guard, but it was never proven. So, I guess my question is...do they look alike?

    People were meh on Chavez too, and now he’s easily our best player.

    Is there any chance the Cards didn’t call to see if Pham would be enough for Hader? I bet they even offered a package that included Hicks.

    Looks that way: You thought a player could retire in the first year of a 6 year contract and get paid for all 6 years?

    All the Brewers SP should suck but don’t. All our SP should be good but suck.

    My brain tells me that very little of this is probably actually his fault - but I still can’t imagine he’s still here next year. With what’s happened to the rotation and the continued poop that is our minor league pitching, there needs to be some kind of complete overhaul with the coaching/development.

    Yeesh, I didn’t realize Montgomery only had 5.6k/9 this year. Hopefully they can duct tape Darvish’s arm together soon.

    1) he can 2) Darvish still exists 3) once september hits you can limit his workload since the entire iowa shuttle is in the pen 1 and 3) For some reason I thought he was already nearing his career high in IP, but I guess he still has plenty of cushion to get him to Sept. 2) Half true

    Only problem is Montgomery probably can’t maintain a full starter’s workload.

    I went the Phillies/Reds playoff game back in like 2010 or whatever when Hamels shut out the Reds for the sweep....Hopefully he pitches like that.

    At least he got a chance to see every batter in the 1st and learn their tendencies and what not. I expect a very smooth 2nd time through.

    Getting Mikolas out and 4 innings of their bullpen probably would have been worth it even if Gyrko knocked in a run there.

    I can understand not really caring that much, since it was years ago and all you want from them is to throw a ball fast for your amusement. I can’t understand giving him special adulation *because* he tweeted in support of the klu klux klan.
