It makes a lot more sense to hold onto him and pray that his hitting is affected by his hand injury I was stupid and didn't want them to trade him last offseason because I figured 2017 was just an off year and he'd after more value after he rebounded. This time next year, he'll be Chris Giminez on offense and will have also developed gout or syphilis or something and will suck on defense.

The only explanation I can think of is that there was a big falling out between Theo and Maddon and Maddon is doing this on purpose. These moves are inexplicable.

The only times Maddon will use Edwards in multiple games in a row is when he’s in meltdown mode. Then he pitches him every time there’s a tie or 1 run lead.

I really believe more then 50% chance Maddon gone and even moreso if they blow the division and dont go deep in playoffs The world series that Maddon did everything in his power to lose will earn him a couple more years.
