  1. I don't like days when Coghlan and/or Barney are in the lineup and Valbuena is not.
  2. If one were to read into the fact that Alcantara has played a game in CF, would the most logical reason be that there have been team's asking about Bonifacio in trade talks? I'd think it just has to do with having plenty of 2B options but very few OF options.
  3. Hopefully we bring up Lopez before too long and the combo of him and Castillo can be league average'ish for a few years.
  4. Ha! Awesome. Please, explain what is so "aggressively stupid" about not feeling better about the Cubs' pythag variance? Mostly the thing about a Frankenstein team playing worse than expected. It made no sense, and run differential vs. record has nothing to do with "playing worse than expected". That's like saying a player is hitting worse than expected because he doesn't have as many RBI's as his OPS would suggest.
  5. Surely you can vent without being this aggressively stupid.
  6. 30 years old??? I guess we could use him for a year before flipping him for prospects. http://themellowjihadi.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Desmond-Bryant-Harvard-grad.jpg
  7. I bet you can't guess what Bryant just did.
  8. My favorite thing about her is how every line she has in any show/movie is a one-liner.
  9. TN in extras, so Bryant might get another chance to j all over their b's.
  10. The game got started too late and Javy doesn't feel like running the bases tonight.
  11. $$$ Don't have to pay him those big AAA bucks.
  12. His mercy is decreasing with each AB. OPS: 1.112
  13. Bryant really wants to get to Iowa and recreate MD2 with Baez. http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/736x/7a/9c/5b/7a9c5b7057e1a64727b132b227b680ba.jpg
  14. Bryant decides to only get a double in his 2nd AB. OPS nearing 1.100.
  15. Sounded like the field wasn't very well cleaned up from the rain and he rolled his ankle or something.
  16. Yes we have, although what's the point of DFAing him until someone gets called up, unless you think Manny could fix him. Yeah, it's tough to get upset about Olt's playing time. It's usually a choice between him or Barney in the lineup. The only person that could realistically be called up is Watkins. That spot is going to be deadweight until one or two of Baez/Alcantara/Villanueva/Bryant/Bruno are ready.
  17. Castro and Rizzo are fine. Sip the kool aid much? lol Winners win, dude.
  18. The traditional lefty-lefty advantage does not work when the lefty is [expletive] terrible. Whenever Renteria brings in Russell to face a lefty, he's basically Mr. Burns pinch hitting for Darryl Strawberry.
  19. I think Rizzo wished on a monkey's paw for the ability to hit lefties.
  20. 4 walks for Bryant. The man is a never-ending boner.
  21. http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/_/id/29942/neil-ramirez Yes I knew he was a K monster, but I didn't know he had 19 in 11.2 IP. That's very very very good and I like him.
  22. Include Alcantara in the trade for Stanton. Castillo Rizzo Baez Bryant Castro Lake Betts Stanton oh yeah Move Bryant to OF to take Lake's spot, put Valbuena at 3B. Castillo Rizzo Baez Valbuena Castro Bryant Betts Stanton
