If Bryant ends up in the OF, he can platoon with Valbuena...but strict platoon, zero AB's against righties. He still has a .956 OPS against lefties. If Olt is out and Bryant goes to OF doesn't that make 3b the obvious landing spot for Baez? Lot easier to find a 2b, and especially with Watkins (and others) near ready as 2b. Unfortunately it's far from a given that Baez will be ready next year. If he is, and feels more comfortable at 3B, that's where he should play. But I think Baez at 2B and a Valbuena/Olt platoon at 3B is the best combo we could come up with with the players currently available. If Baez goes to 3B, I don't think we have a better option than Valbuena for 2B.
