  1. I'm hoping Bryant and Schwarber are eventually hitting back to back and we can do a beauty and the beast type thing. That would be cute. Also, I trust our FO's rankings more than some internet scout's, and I love Schwarber, but I'd be kind of disappointed if they don't have a big overslot planned.
  2. "What do you hope to learn from Jean Segura?" Do any of these idiots understand how professional baseball works?
  3. Here's hoping Pentecost inexplicably falls to 45.
  4. Or look like geniuses in a couple years. Probably 70/30 odds on regret, though.
  5. http://themellowjihadi.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Desmond-Bryant-Harvard-grad.jpg
  6. Castro, Rizzo, Bryant, Baez, Soler, Schwarber.....hard as a rock.
  7. I wish Getting someone to sign underslot is basically trading down.
  8. Once again, the Cubs have their choice of position player. This pleases me.
  9. I kind of hope Rodon isn't available at 4. I'm worried they'd take him and his arm/shoulder terrifies me.
  10. The Astros taking the top pitcher worked out pretty well for the Cubs last year. Lets go Schwarber or Pentecost!
  11. I think Schwarber has catapulted himself to #2 for me, behind Aiken. I think my list currently stands at: 1) Aiken 2) Schwarber 3) Pentecost 4) Jackson 5) Conforto 6) Nola 7) Rodon 8) Gordon 9) Kolek 10) Hoffman
  12. It's a shame, but next year when the Cubs aren't on WGN anymore, they're going to need to find a new victory song. No way around it. Shucks.
  13. I think it's time to only let Olt bat against lefties. Bring up Watkins or something.
  14. I know you don't draft at #4 based on need, but with our depth at middle infield, I really hate the idea of drafting someone who might not be able to hit. I love the idea of being able to add Schwarber/Conforto/Pentecost to a 2016 lineup that already includes Rizzo, Castro, Bryant, Baez, Soler. I would be an awful scout/general manager.
  15. Coghlan has looked like a real major league baseball player the past few games. He must have gotten sick of me whining about him.
  16. Eloy is a large, large boy. Can't wait for him to be hitting 500ft bombs for the Cubs in a few years.
  17. I'm guessing Aiken, Rodon, Gordon, Schwarber, Conforto, Pentecost.
  18. Schwarber has been added to my list of guys I'd be really happy with. Schwarber, Aiken, Pentecost, Jackson, Nola, in no particular order, except Nola being last.
  19. And his likelihood of success would probably plummet. I have to side with you on this one. I would definitely prefer that Bryant not go 50 plate appearances without reaching base.
  20. Bruno not playing, so I guess Darvill's demotion didn't mean what I hoped it meant.
