  1. A few writers are dicks to Castro, but it's also dumb when people get themselves worked up every time a player who isn't Castro makes a mistakes and it doesn't get a lot of attention. Yesterday after Rizzo admired his double for a second, that Sharma guy tweeted how it would have been a huge deal if Castro or Soriano or Aramis had done it. The next play, Castro admired his single and nobody said a word.
  2. Ruggiano, you dummy. Go smack a dinger, you knucklehead.
  3. Having the DH in only one league is one of my favorite things about the structure of the MLB, and I can't really explain why. I guess I just like the novelty of it.
  4. McKinney 2/3 with 2BB. Dude is just ridiculous.
  5. Soler is a filthy, filthy, disgusting monster. And stop freaking hitting Bryant, you ahole AAA loser pitchers.
  6. You might want to check one whoever is doing the Gameday updates there, I think he had a heart attack.
  7. Lester Arrieta Masterson Hendricks Turner
  8. And the Rockies, for being asleep at the wheel. That's even more confusing to me than the Marlins getting rid of him. Who exactly were they worried about losing?
  9. I probably like Jose Arias more than anyone on this board but I'd trade him in a heartbeat for Turner. It's an amazing deal, it just would have been more amazing without Arias.
  10. Bremer is one. I'd be ok with it, but I hope the other one isn't Arias. I like that guy.
  11. Agreed, I'd do Almora, Vogelbach and Pierce or Hendricks (if they want a ML ready guy). If Hendricks finishes the year close to what he's been so far, I don't think I'd trade him for Hamels straight up. With how fragile pitchers are, I'd hate to give up a dirt cheap good one for an expensive very good one, especially since the dirt cheap one is several years younger with no injury history.
  12. .850 OPS is good in a hitters league right? Even if the power never truly manifests itself, he can be Mark Grace with less glove and be a pretty valuable piece anyway. Mark Grace with less glove? Darwin Barney is Javy Baez with less power, too. But Grace hit enough to be an adequate DH.
  13. He pitched yesterday. Thanks. I'm getting pretty excited about him.
  14. Did Steele pitch last night or is his line from 7/13?
  15. Pretty insane that we've graduated the #7 and #33 prospects in baseball and still probably have the best farm system. I honestly think Soler belongs in the top 10 and Bryant/Russell should be 1/2 since Buxton has struggled since his return. In the top 100 we have: Bryant, Russell, Soler, Almora, Schwarber, probably Tseng, McKinney, possibly Edwards, Johnson, Torres. WAAAAAAVES!!
  16. I'm happy that the Chicago Cubs traded for Billy McKinney.
  17. Important HRs so far today: Baez (2) Castro Bryant Schwarber Honorable mention: Vogelbach. And Rizzo and Russell didn't even play.
  18. I'm liking Underwood more and more everyday.
  19. He's right, guys. Today is the first day of the rest of our lives.
  20. So Turner banged Loria's wife, I guess.
  21. I feel like that's really overstated That was just at the beginning of the season when one of the prospects had an 0-4 game or something.
  22. I find it easier, since he isn't striking out every AB like I expected him to.
