  1. Welcome. And, yeah, in neither case did they really have to give up all that much to add that ace, especially in Price's case with an extra year of control. On the other hand, "the boy genius" did manage to get quite a haul for his pitchers, one of which he basically picked up off the scrap heap. Oh and then there's that guy pitching like a top 10 pitcher in baseball that they basically got off the scrap heap for another guy they got off the scrap heap. Thanks for agreeing that pitching is the bottom line. The reason the Cubs got quite a haul for their pitchers is that many teams are willing to overpay for pitching. You don't see many teams overpaying for some scrap-heap OF that had a few good months. So you're telling me that TOR pitchers are more valuable than scrap heap outfielders?! Can you explain, in detail, how you came to this conclusion?
  2. Delgado would be awesome with real coaching instead of AZ bs. I almost included the disclaimer of not knowing what Bosio could have done with him.
  3. Show of hands: When Dempster f'ed up the Delgado trade and we had to settle for Villanueva/Hendricks, who thought it would turn out like this?
  4. Coming to TNT in 2015. We know drama. I would trade Steele and Sands for Franklin and Bash in a heartbeat.
  5. And a rotation of Sands, Steele, Stinnett, Clifton, Masek/Conway/Meija/Leal would be pretty fun.
  6. Steele and Sands have both been baller ass rock stars in their limited innings.
  7. I'm becoming more confident that Black will be an adequate starter.
  8. Soler is a filthy animal.
  9. They need to stop beaning Bryant. I don't like it.
  10. That kinda devalues Bryant and Baez's nights :( I know he's like 10 years older, but it still freaks me out that he's producing at about the same level as Baez at AAA.
  11. They got Staily figured out, he's an ace now.
  12. Call him up! I really want to get his 2 month suck out of the way this year.
  13. How is the Braves system ranked? I can't see Caratini cracking our top 20, which isn't a complaint.
  14. No way, it's stupid to even suggest that. He'll get a couple more tonight before he's called up.
  15. Much better than I was expecting. Seems like he'd rank slightly ahead of Torrez.
  16. Scott Frazier walks 5 and records 1 out...and lowers his ERA.
  17. So what would happen if they just left Jackson out there for like 300 pitches? Could they get in trouble for that somehow?
  18. Please don't leave us again, Monster Bryant.
  19. He's King and BBing at 18%, so I'm guessing it's only a matter of time before he goes nuts again.
  20. McNeil has had a couple outings where he completely dominates, so I'm guessing there's some decent upside there, but that's definitely higher than I would rank him.
  21. The rankings of Tseng, Vogelbach, Amaya, Clifton, and Jokisch all seem pretty dumb to me.
  22. I believe that it can simultaenously be true that I would much rather have the Dodgers' record and that Colletti has done a pretty poor job with the highest payroll in baseball history. With the exception of keeping Colletti has GM, their ownership is every fan's sexy dream.
