  2. It's cool when one of our important players walks and then another one of our important players hits a home run.
  3. He's slowly and steadily fighting his way towards my top 20.
  4. 8 walks between Bryant and Soler in the past 2 nights.
  5. I still am kind of in disbelief that he's a member of the Cub organization. 11 home runs in a month and a half, as one of the youngest players in a pitcher's league. And he's a shortstop. We have effectively been anesthetized to the pains of any fan who follows a normal minor league organization. It's never been like this before. It may never be like this again. When this wears off, reality is going to hit and hit hard. But the major league team will be good which will be 10x better.
  6. Bryant had twice as many walks last night as Almora has had in 28 games at AA.
  7. Assuming they don't bat again, Soler and Bryant: 7-7, 2B, 3B, HR, 5BB, 0 K. BOOOIIIINNG!
  8. I really really missed Soler and Bryant doing awesome things in the same game. Another walk for Bryant, #4 on the night, followed by a Soler triple.
  9. Jairo Perez. btw - McKinney at #7 is the only teenager in the top 50 in OPS in the FSL He turns 20 today :(
  10. I don't understand why anyone would defect from Cuba when healthcare is free there.
  11. If we didn't have Alcantara, I might be upset about missing out on him. I was kind of hoping we'd get Castillo and then trade Alcantara for pitching, but for what Castillo's getting, I'd rather stick with Arismendy, who will probably end up being better anyway.
  12. They can always try to get another forfeit.
  13. Does the game have to actually restart to get re-rained out?
  14. I'd have to assume it's all relative. Probably not much more, if at all, than any other AAA player, unless they coach as well. Most of them need the team more than the team needs them, be or because they're hoping for another crack at the majors, or they're simply not ready to hang it up yet. If you don't know, it's alright to say so.
  15. Bryant's HR looks like it might have been one of the longest of the year. It goes about 50ft past the CF wall, which is 424ft at its deepest. It looks like it's a bit to the left of the 424 sign, so probably about 415ft where it went out. http://www.milb.com/multimedia/vpp.jsp?content_id=35544965&topic_id=&sid=milb&v=3&tcid=tw_video_
  16. Getting more and more realistic that Bryant and Russell are 1 and 2 on a lot of lists after the season.
  17. It would seem likely that we are in the conversation. Two guys in the top 4 or 5 is a great start, plus we still have depth after that. Who would the other contenders be? All of the Twins top guys are hurt, Pirates have a bunch of pitchers but they're pitchers, so they barely count.
  18. Hell, I'd rather throw Lake out there and see what happens.
  19. Don't forget Soler and Beaz. ALL the #1 prospect in baseball. They combine like Voltron. They just need a torso and a head. I know he still counts, but I've stopped counting Baez as a prospect.
  20. Come on Jxn, rein in your suck for one game, I want to beat these crybabies.
  21. Russell again! Best prospect in baseball (besides maybe Bryant).
