    Why not? Baez will be the second baseman come 2015, so Renteria probably felt like moving him back over there for a game. Because Valaika is about as useful at SS as a festivus pole. I mean, at least bring Alcantara into the infield if you're that set on not playing Valbuena or Watkins. But Alcantara is also learning a new position.

    Yeah, it sounds like they're going to turn SB into a mini-Mesa. Hopefully a PED lab, too.

    Huzzah! And there should be a lot of interest of interesting prospects in low A next year.

    It's like the Reds got jealous and wanted to show off their future core, but they don't understand how prospects work so they threw a bunch of Joe Mathers out there. ....that or they're playing for draft position.

    Apparently Ft. Wayne (low-A) was hoping the Cubs would consider them (they didn't), which would have been awesome for me. Ft. Wayne has a surprisingly nice stadium, but it's a decent amount farther from Chicago than KC and South Bend. Now I have to hope for South Bend, cause they play in Ft. Wayne several times a year, and I think KC only has one series there.
