He did almost give up a HR and a hard hit ball to start this mess After retiring 10/11 batters, someone hit it hard. Yep, DFA.

    Since Theo took over, when people would ask me, I'd say it would be a few years before the Cubs were good. Then over the past couple years I'd say they should start being competitive in 2015. So naturally, last year I would say "they should be pretty good next year." "LOL! Next year! Typical Cubs fan, you've been saying that every year." So in answer to your question, I'm not lonely, I *choose* to not have friends.

    The name "Blake DeWitt" seems vaguely familiar, but for the life of me, I can't remember a thing about him. And I remember Joe Mather and Steve Clevenger fairly well.

    I hope Des Moines enjoyed their time as a major league city. In a couple months, they could potentially have Baez, Alcantara, Schwarber, Almora, Edwards, Johnson, Black, Rivero. Hopefully it's a brief downturn. EDIT: Oh, and Vogelbach if he keeps being the greatest hitter ever.
