  1. That's not the point, it was a dirty bitch move that he will suffer no repercussions for. He might as well just pick up Collison next game and body slam him if they are going to let what he did last night slide. But hey if he's one of the best player in the league let him continue to be a bitch ass goon out there. If one of the Pacers would have done what Wade did to Collison last night to either Wade or Lebron I would say it's quite likely that Pacer player would have been suspended for game 3.
  2. I'm still pissed we played so well in Aug and Sept last year that we squandered a top 3 pick to be in a better spot to get him. wasn't that 2010? Might of done it then too, but we went 34-36 overall in the 2nd half last year and 16-13 in August and 12-13 in September. Not that 18-16 is playing that well, but it's not bad either all we had to do was lose 4-5 more games to lock up a top 3 pick.

  4. I [expletive] hate the Heat, they honeslty don't have one likeable player
  5. Or how Lebron almost went all Meta World Peace on that one Pacer after he got fouled and lost his headband. He raised up his left elbow and came pretty close to hitting him in the face.
  6. Hopefully he's right about the Dodger part and they put all their attention/money into getting him and not Hamels and/or Upton
  7. You're right, curveball of doom shall henceforth be known as an "Outlaw Cure*." *Bobby Brownline has patent pending on that phrase
  8. All time great what? Like all time greats, just ever? That's a bit much, he'd probably be remembered like Kerr and Horry are. Great role players on championship teams, who were good guys/teammates, and hit some big shots in playoff series. They both got lucky and happened to play with some of the greatest players in NBA history and won more titles than they probably should have on their own individual talents.
  9. The Thunder-Heat finals matchup would make for the worst final 3-5 minutes of every close game in Finals history. Both teams just do weird things and run awful plays down the stretch of close games.
  10. So better than a high end #3 on a contender?
  11. What if "all" he needs is TJS to fix his problem? It has become a fairly routine surgery now and guys are coming back just fine from it. Now if it's some sort of injury that requires surgery in/around the shoulder then absolutely not, but if it's TJS to fix him and he's there at #6 you have to think about it.
  12. Or even either LA team (more the Lakers than Clips), I know it's very unlikely they get by OKC/SA but they obivously have big guys that would cause the Heat trouble without Bosh.
  13. Hopefully all of Stewart's early season bad luck is starting to turn around and he goes on a real big hot streak here.
  14. I think that could be it, he just isn't able to get enough break/bite/speed on his pitches out of the break and they aren't as effective as they are out of the windup so it could be something mechanically. Also maybe have to look at maybe he's tipping pitches out of the stretch?
  15. I am pretty sure that's not true
  16. I'd rather we bring Roosevelt Brown back. Dominic Brown sucks
  17. I love Dempster, he's been awesome here, but it's tough to see a contender taking him on as a high end third starter. He doesn't throw hard enough that you can trust his K's to translate say...into the AL East or something. Plus there's his penchant to just crap out a 6 walk start for no reason. Maybe if Hoyer is a good salesman, but teams are going to do homework on him and I doubt he gets graded as a high end 3 on a championship caliber club. This can litearlly be said about any pitcher in baseball, even the best ones. Halladay got crapped on the other night and the CC's, Cain's, Verlander's, etc. of the world all have bad starts throughout the year with no apparent cause/reason. Dempster would be considered at minimum "a high end 3rd starter" on almost all the teams that would be interested in trading for him at the deadline. Yankees- He'd be their 2nd best starter Red Sox- He'd be no worse than their number 3 Dodgers- He'd be their 2nd best starter Blue Jays- No worse than their #3 Tigers- 2nd best starter Rockies- Possibly would be their best starter, 2nd at worst Mets- Same as the Rockies
  18. I'd be willing to go pretty high, I think. The traditional numbers are a little down for him so that might help and the teams that value his skill set aren't generally the more high-payroll organizations. I don't think the bidding will go too high, I'm just hoping the Yankees/Red Sox focus on Hamels/Greinke and we turn our attention to guys like Upton and maybe Drew. I think Drew would be an excellent get to fill 2B next year. When is he expected to back this year? I would imagine he'd come on a pretty decent contract in the offseason.
  19. Agreed, we should still be taking BPA. Just because our system is lacking pitching doesn't mean we should use 6 to address a need if Correa is the BPA and his upside is that much greater than any of the pitchers available.
  20. Fwiw, mlbtraderumors says Law has Correa ranked #2 in his top 100 for the draft. I really want to take a pitcher at 6, but you can never have too much depth up the middle (especially at SS) and if we build up some good depth there it could free us up to trade a guy or two and acquire the big time arm.
  21. I think we have a lot of guys who project to be solid back end starters, which is good if we have a strong 1-3 by the time they're ready. Our pitching in the system just sucks. It's sad the ceiling of most of our pitchers is a good-average back end starter and most of the pitchers will only end up as bullpen arms if they ever reach MLB.
  22. Tracking flyballs/linedrives isn't all that athletic of an activity. It's largely instinctual after years of following balls coming off bats from that distance/angle. This^ and just for shits and giggles http://gif.mocksession.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/NYJER-MORGAN.gif
  23. He kinda has, despite the low ERA, he hasn't been pitching deep into games at all, his K numbers have only been ok and he's been walking a lot of guys.
  24. Are they just going to ignore the fact that Scott Maine's been really good this season? Braddock would be a decent buy low candidate, but Mike Gonzalez is just another 30 year old on the tail end of his career. We need some more old school veteran pitchers on the team to throw at Harper when we go play in Washington, because that's what your supposed to do to these youngins'.....
  25. What was the top 3 of the order?
