    NFL Week 6

Watt did that before Rodgers rushed for the TD that was called back

    NFL Week 6

Rodgers looks extra focused and pissed off tonight
  4. Like clockwork. These [expletive] guys
  5. pfft, no hitter or bust

    NFL Week 6

    That looks awesome
  7. Cano and Chavez absolutely ripped the piss out of the ball. Orioles, if given the lead tomorrow, please have someone else close.
  8. No one said he would be cheap, but a "not cheap" package doesn't necessarily have to start with a #1 prospect. The ability of the Cubs to put together a package drops off quickly after that. Agreed, but what about something centered around Samardzija??
  9. That can't be correct. The Giants went to the World Series under Baker (i.e., won two playoff series clinching games in the NLDS and NLCS) and the Cubs won one playoff series in 2003. Maybe it's elimination games (Games 5 and 7)?
  10. YES! GO A's. Valverde really, really annoys me. [expletive] him
  11. No bueno, Javier!
  12. In fairness didn't almost every D'back hit like crazy in that series?? Even Augie had a few hits I remember. @#%!$ Ojeda put up a 1.101 OPS in that series: 4-for-9 with a BB, HBP and 2b. Just for fun, I calculate the Diamondbacks as having a .358 BABIP and 20% HR/FB ratio for that series. The Cubs were .257 and 3.8%. Combining 2007 and 2008, the Cubs hit 60 fly balls and had 2 home runs to show for it, a 3.3% ratio. I don't know which one of those series was more frustrating to watch. At least we briefly had the lead off of DeRosa's HR in game 1 until Dempster started pitching like [expletive]. I don't know if I felt worse after Young led off game 3 with the HR off Hill in 07, or Loney's HR in 08' or Ramirez's ridiculous HR off of Marshall in 08 that he literally threw the bat at. Ugh, now I'm gonna go to bed angry tonight.

  14. With some guys yes. But a lot of the guys that come up and produce have very average minor league numbers/careers. Kozma has a career .652 minor league OPS and has just slightly gotten over .700 a few times. It's not like he was a guy they drafted and then he did well in the minors and then produced in the majors. He's been an absolutely [expletive] minor league player and now he's OPSing .900+ in the majors since his call up. relax, it's been 72 AB and change; didn't Ryan Sweeney have a 1000 OPS April? I don't think anyone actually thinks Kozma is going to become a star. I think the heart burn around here is that he is playing like a star down the stretch and in the playoffs. I mean, the Kozma OPSing over .900 next year was sarcasm, right? Yes.

  16. Freese was never in a top 100? I thought he was a thought of fairly highly as a prospect. The point remains nonetheless, they have gotten super lucky with guys.
  17. I've already come to accept that Kozma is going to ops 900+ next year and hit 20 plus HR and be the starting all-star SS. Also he's probably gonna win the world series MVP. [expletive] the Cardinals, it's such BS how they turn out guys like him on a yearly basis.
  18. if only a competent replacement was on the bench Something, something experience, paying dues, veterans
  19. Do it
  20. Doubt it. I guess it would depend on the crushing. But I think his relatively rough showing in Daytona suppresses any hope of a top 10 ranking this year. Agreed. Does the fact that he isn't a lock to stick at SS also affect that (though it seems the consensus is he made some strides this year and the likelihood increases he sticks there) and might have to move to a position where his bat isn't as valuable (3B/2B/OF)?
  21. He's been wearing those for the better part of 2 seasons now
  22. Is Lovie the longest tenured coach in the NFL other than Belichick?
  23. A 2014 HS shortstop prospect who has a lot of hype as one of the better HS draft prospects in the past decade. Thanks. Obviously the 2014 draft is a ways off and a lot can happen but it looks like we will be drafting in the top 5ish in that draft again. Hopefully we get a shot at him
  24. Pardon the ignorance, who the F is Drew Ward?
