    I just hope we don't end up with some crappy version of the renovations because we couldn't get the money worked out. Yeah it was talked about somewhere in this thread about the Rahm/Joe Rickettes thing when it first came out. As the article says, Rahm got all pissy at the Ricketts/Cubs during election season because of Ricketts dad (who I think most of us already know has no ownership/equity/involvement in the team) supporting/funding a superpac that was behind anti Obama adds (I don't know if they ever ran them) and things went south in negotiations with the city soon after that. I knew about that, but I didn't realize they were that close and that anything that specific about funding had come out. That sucks. I'm pretty sure there were a few quotes from Rahm that if you read into them you could be lead to believe they were close to a deal/had framework.

    Just DVR one of the episodes on MTV, it will save you a good 30-45 minutes of sitting through the whole movie as you can fast forward through commercials. Every episode is basically the movie (it's produced by the same guys who made the movie/the original dude who got "catfished").

If it was an on the court thing fighting with a coach/player/opponent, going at it with a ref, etc. I'm sure that incident would have been reported in the story as the media was there to cover it. I feel like a Josh Smith to the Lakers trade is coming in some form (either Gasol+ going to ATL or a third team involved) before the deadline.

    Eagles may have agreed to more of his control demands when other candidates fell through. Though sanctions probably played a role. According to tweets, he never demanded control, and wasn't given control. According to tweets he was staying at Oregon. Something changed in the last few days. Getting offered millions of more dollars than he is currently making/under contract for will have that affect

    The Badgers just keep doing Badger things, they are so untalented this year outside of Bergerren, Dekker, and Jackson and the latter two are both freshman (Jackson is a redshirt). Somehow they will manage 20ish wins and wins 2-3 tournament games despite having some of the least skilled players in D1 basketball.

    I'd really be happy with any of Manea, Appel, Stanek, and even Whiston to a lesser extent (if we take him 2 I assume he takes a big leap this year/turns potential into actual results). But if Manea is there at 2 that's who I want the most. LHP with his kind of stuff don't come by everyday.

    This has been happening for a good 3+ years now. He's lucky he's playing with a top 5 player of all time. By the time he'd come to the Bulls he'd be pretty useless.

    Kind of sounds what the Trib/Zell told Hendry to do when they were trying to sell them team, worth noting it has been speculated for a while they are trying to sell the Red Sox as the owner (forget which one) is more interested in the soccer team in Europe he owns/doesn't have the money for both.
