I am happy they are the owners. Seeing as Cuban was never a realistic option (as he has seemingly been blacklisted by MLB owners to bid on a team) and there wasn't a Guggenheim type group that had a bid on the team. They were probably the best option at the time of the sale given that Zell had to pretty much unload the team and couldn't hold onto the team until a Guggenheim type player to entered the mix.

I'm not 100% sure. But I think when the season starts, so they will probably be officially on the DL next Monday morning. Seeing as there is no advantage to put someone on the 15 day DL now as you can't use spring training games as counting towards it or create an extra 40-man spot like the 60 day DL can.

I know it's been mentioned before (by Law maybe) and this is the first time I've seen video of Gray, but it sure looks like he has a lot of effort and moving parts in his pitching motion. -
It's a good thing we have a new CBA in place to help out those small market teams like the Rays circumvent having to pay overpriced veterans and build teams through drafts and IFA....

I think Withey will be a better NBA player than Zeller. I know it's not saying much, as I don't expect either of the guys to ever be more than minimal rotation players, but I think Withey could be a useful guy in the middle for 10-15 minutes a game.

How far removed from TJS surgery is Whitenack? He had the surgery in the summer of 2011. So that's not a legit excuse anymore for his velo to be so low. Hopefully it's just some early season working into shape/dead arm or something, but that isn't good to hear in his long term regards as a prospect.

I haven't watched any of the tournament or really have followed it at all (watching only NCAA past 3 days) but I plan on watching tomorrow. I am guessing he's putting out of his ass again? I'd have to think he's in the top 10 for fewest puts in the tournament.

For the life of me I couldn't figure out why everyone was so high on VCU beating Michigan. Michigan struggles against half court slow down teams and teams that are in the Top 5, VCU is neither. Trapping Michigan seemed like a bad idea to me. MSU has played some serious MSU ball for 2 games so far. I do not think they will beat Duke. Hope I am wrong. I agree on the MU-VCU stuff, I think VCU could have given Kansas fits though had they gotten by MU.
