I love Bosio but we can't just count on him to fix everyone. We can count on him to fix enough. Plus we have tons of relievers. Give me a version of your realistic rotation next year..... Where we're going, we don't need pitchers http://www.philebrity.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/marty_doc.jpg
stolen from like a million people on twitter, but how incredible would it be if it turned out lebron tricked wade into opting out for no reason and the heat didn't even make him a realistic offer? I'd rather that be true than have Melo sign with the Bulls
Amnesty Boozer, trade Taj and Dunleavy How much money is Pau getting in that scenario? Have fun stopping teams with Carmelo and Pau on the floor. I really don't see Pau as any better than Taj right now. Plus Melo would be mad. He's hoping Taj stops his man after he blows by him on the way to the rim. Would probably have enough space, even with Melo at the max, to get him 10-12 a year.
If/when a international draft happens has there been any ideas what time of year it would be held? You'd think they'd announce it at least a yearish out to give teams the proper time to adjust, understand it, etc. But then again this is MLB/Bud so why would they do anything logical.
Pacers sign CJ Miles and some foreign dude named Damjan Rudez, most likely takes them out of bringing Lance back as they are ~$5million away from the luxury tax now.
Yeah most of the NBA guys I listen to/follow are saying most teams were really surprised how much the cap rose this year and are expecting it to grow at an even higher % over the next few years. Also, like you said, there's probably going to be at least a slightly tweaked CBA in 2017 (I think that's when it's up) and the national TV contract is coming up again soon, I believe.
Some more interesting moves, Jodie Meeks got 3/$19 million from Detroit and Ben Gordon got 2/$9 million from Orlando (though part of this is to get to the salary floor for ORL). Also Cleveland is preparing a max offer to Gordon Heyward.
Sold to what extent? Obviously he's been pitching better than ever and likely isn't this good or capable of sustaining it, but he's been a pretty good pitcher the last 5 years. 3.7, 3.8, 1.4, 2.6, .7, 2.1 fWAR over that period.
Gortat resigns with Washington 5/60, Livingston to Golden State for 3/16. Wonder if the Livingston deal is a precursor to a Love-Thompson trade? Curry/Livingston/Iguodala/Love/Bogut is a really good potential lineup, obviously if Bogut can stay healthy for more than 10 minutes.
