  1. Ugh, they're probably gonna say he didn't give him a lane
  2. Without clicking, how many said perfect game? A perfect game in the NL is like going 6IP, 7H, 4ER in the AL to them
  3. I'm really hoping for Swisher, instead. Didn't he just have to have knee surgery? He may not be able to play anything other than 1B anymore Ah. NM I just checked, he had surgery on BOTH knees.

  6. This might be the dumbest thing asked on here since Da Bum left
  7. I'm just gonna tell myself they are holding out for they younger, more powerful Tomas so they didn't really make an effort on Castillo and this isn't a case of them cheaping out and/or wanting to make the most efficient signings again.
  8. Arizona and Baltimore are stupid is I think the main thing to take from McCarthy and Arrietta. Also Bundy in Baltimore event though it was literally his best pitch and did Arizona make Bauer stop throwing one too?
  9. Eh, not overly bummed with missed out at that price. He's already a little older and the price seemed to have been bumped up due to a Puig/Abreu premium with how those guys came into the league, while by most accounts he isn't on their level. I'd rather go after Markakis or Melky for less money likely or Tomas if we are spending this kind of money on a Cuban guy.
  10. Every time Arrieta throws his cutter today I want him to turn to the Orioles dugout, lock eyes with their bumble [expletive] pitching coach and do the big balls dance.
  11. I think it's getting to the point we need Kyle to start saying bad things about him
  12. Let us know if he's a shorts or pants guy and what type (cargo, jean, slacks, etc.) Ha I was just gonna make some sort of pants joke because he just tweeted a pic of him and a bunch of dudes abd he's the only one not wearing shorts. Mojo might have a new best friend by nights end

  14. Mauer
  15. This is not at all true, they feel targeted because they are one of the teams using these different angles to exploit the rules and the loopholes keep getting closed on them. They feel targeted because they have invested millions in the Dominican academy and next year was their next turn to blow their load on the international market. It's not like they just joined the game and it got shut on them, they were one of the teams that started the trend and were among the most heavily invested. I doubt this will have a big effect on next years plan, as it was said in here, they've probably already done a good amount of their homework on next year already and know who to target and who to be talking to thru back channels and what not.
  16. A draft probably hurts us the most
  17. He's got 13 E's to date, ranked 17th. I'm not saying that's good at all but he's not a butcher either. Not sure how this compares to his historical #'s. Really good, it's the lowest of his career. He's been in the high 20's every year he's been in the league so far.
  18. The blue jerseys [expletive] suck, they look like cheap jerseys a little league team buys that's called the Cubs.
  19. Darwin Barney and his .276 OBP is leading off for the Dodgers tonight
  20. Greinke's having his next start pushed backed/skipped due to elbow soreness. In other news the sun will come up tomorrow. Also it looks like Garrett Richards messed up his knee tonight covering 1B, not necessarily anything inherent with being a pitcher, but [expletive] em' anyways.
  21. It would seem likely that we are in the conversation. Two guys in the top 4 or 5 is a great start, plus we still have depth after that. Who would the other contenders be? All of the Twins top guys are hurt, Pirates have a bunch of pitchers but they're pitchers, so they barely count. Twins and Astros. Twins are probably the only one I could see as an argument over the Cubs, even without Baez and Alcantara. But, like you said, there's a lot of injuries to their top guys. I would probably still say Cubs are at the top, but a lot depends on how someone views our lower guys like Almora, McKinney, Schwarber, Tseng, Edwards, and Johnson. Not much to argue about at the top of our pile of prospects. We wouldn't have the #1 system, but even if you remove the big 4 (Baez, Soler, Bryant, Russell) I bet we'd still have a top 12ish system with just Almora, McKinney, Tseng, Schwarbs, Torres, Jimenez, and the various mess of low level pitching we have.
