  1. Fowler and Bryant have had two of the most shittiest slides into 2B in this series that I have ever seen.
  2. Xavier Scruggs and Greg Garcia, these are made up names you come up with when ranting about random Cardinals coming up and beating you
  3. Yes
  4. Goes up significantly this year but the big jump is next year. So there is nothing surprising about Lebron opting out and he'll do the max contract with the opt out option when he re-signs this year again.
  5. I kind of doubt they'll add anything more than a bench type. Castro's been awful, but I'm assuming they'll give him time to turn it around until Baez returns. Schwarber will be up on August to play some LF. No room for a big addition unless someone gets hurt. I don't really see them taking Castro, Fowler, or Soler out of the lineup. I'd much rather they make a move to get a solid bat for LF. Coghlan's been good, but go for someone who isn't a platoon player and can provided more everyday value and impact. Combine that with Soler coming back and now the bench is upgraded with Coghlan and Denorfria available off of it more often. If they really are determined to have Schwarber stick at catcher I'd rather just keep him down and focused on playing at that spot than sidetracking him with a stint in LF. A Coghlan/Denorfia platoon is pretty good. Finding someone clearly better than that would be a) difficult and b) really expensive. I dunno, I think we're kind of "stuck" with what we have, offensively. Hope Castro, Soler, and Fowler turn it around. I don't think it would be that difficult; the Cub have a lot of assets and there's a decent selection of players likely to be available. I'm optimistic about Soler stepping it up, but Castro has shown little ability or willingness to make serious adjustments midseason. Fowler's ultimately fine for what he is and his optimum performance isn't that far off from what he's been doing. I'd want them to go out and get someone for LF who would be here this year and ideally going forward instead of just hoping for the best from a platoon. Zobrist. He allows us to get Castro out of the lineup and not make him a full time player but also play LF/RF on other days and helps strengthen the bench/add versatility.
  6. Soler should be back around next weekend
  7. I don't think you can trade a S&T player with multiple other players in the same trade. It needs to be a 1 for 1. So a Butler S&T + Pau for Cousins and McLemore wouldn't work.
  8. Dee Gordon [expletive] sucks when he's not BABIPing 400+
  9. Castro has to stay in that run down longer
  10. The purpose of hacking the Astros was to get the book on Donny Roach all along
  11. He's only striking out like 3 per 9 innings in AAA this year and his average FB velocity last year was 89. Fangraphs page says he throws a FB, CB and Split
  12. That's Garcia's first HR, at any level, since sometime in 2014 in AAA.
  13. They've been really good over a decent span of time, lately
  14. Going for second there may be dumber than anything Castro has ever done. Entire play is right in front of him
  15. He just threw 50+ pitches 2 nights ago. He may very well pitch Saturday but this move is no indication either way as he isn't going to be available on 1 day rest after throwing 50+ pitches.
  16. Wasn't the intention when we traded for him to make him a starter but then he just couldn't really stay healthy enough to be a starter?
  17. Meatballs? Especially as he's taking Starlin to the woodshed right now.
  18. Agreed, the Clippers uniforms are awful. I like the new Sixers ones too. Sixers and Bucks are gorgeous. The Bucks new unis are awesome. They should never change them. Too bad they'll be moving to Seattle in a few years and will change them. The new ones are great
  19. Bolsinger only averages 86 MPH on his fastball. But is striking out over 8 batters per 9 but also walking over 3 batters per 9. So he must either nibble on the edges or have good movement on his pitches with that velo.
  20. I wonder if he would ever consider going to RH almost exclusively, even vs RHP. I also wonder if there's a specific pitch(es) (speed, break, location, etc) that he either really struggles with or if he's just overall worse as a LH hitter on everything?
