    He's been good to really good the previous 3 years thru this year now (age 26-29 seasons) the power surge is somewhat abnormal this year. But it's not like he didn't have power going into the year and when you factor in age, his home park and just baseball being baseball it's not that baffling.

    I would think so. They haven't named a starter for the game yet, however. If Wada can't go I'd guess the other option is Beeler?

    I wouldn't mind that guy being Jorge De La Rosa, I think he's a good/reasonable/gettable target. If we took on his remaining salary ($12.5 mil next year) I wonder if something like Lake or Szczur and Black would get it done?

    They're only 4 games out of the East and 3 out of the first WC spot, doubt they fall out far enough by the 31st to decide to sell

    What makes you think that? Nothing in particular, that comment is more driven by what I've seen Brewer fans think they can get for some of their guys. Which I admit is likely a faulty way to attribute something to Melvin

    With schwarbs up on the big club adding another guy in the LF mix is just too much imho You already had Coghlan Denorfia and now Schwarber If you add Fowler, thats too many guys for 1 position i don't really think schwarber is going to be in the "mix" in LF very much and don't think 2015 roster decisions should be made based on whatever time he might get there. if the roster gets a little pinched before september, you get rid of teagarden Agreed also add in Soler's youth and injury history in RF I think there's plenty of playing time between LF/RF for Coghlan/Fowler/Denorfia/Soler that they'd all be getting near regular playing time. Also Gomez isn't the picture of health so it's not like he wouldn't get some off days.

    I'd be willing to give up quite a bit for Gomez. Moving Fowler to a platoon in LF with Coghlan and bench bat/roaming OF starter would really strengthen the team. Melvin seems like he has some Amaro in him though with his player evaluations. So who knows what it would take.

    Good rule but when he didn't even run on a fly ball 3 inches from the chalk I almost went over to the dark side. He did start running. It looked like the ball was out of play and the wind pushed it. Starling was 1/3 of the way to first when it landed. Man, the radio guys made it sound like he didn't even leave the box. He would've been able to get to 2B fairly easily I think if it was fair. Soler and Bryant were running tho and basically both at home when it came down

    i fully agree with the second statement, but i'm interested in seeing your list without Edwards i see it like: Schwarber McKinney Torres Happ Eloy? and then that's about the lowest possible spot for me, but he's still probably top-5 unless there's reason to believe he won't ever rediscover command or anything like that Schwarber Torres McKinney Happ Eloy Dewees Zagunis Cease I got to 8 for sure in front of them for me in going split second off the top of my head
