    I think a lot here will be disappointed but the majority of fans will be fine. The "well 2016 was the year anyways don't want to trade the prospects for rentals anyways." Will be a common theme, imo. Personally I get if a big name acquisition doesn't happen but I'd be disappointed if we at least don't do a De La Rosa/Venable/Parra /Burnett type acquisition

    Kind of surprised that DeWees and Zagunis got in ahead of Jimenez. And the fact Almora is in at all, let alone over Jimenez

    Don't think we are a great fit for them 1 for 1 as I doubt they are really interested in prospects and probably want more immediate impact guys, guessing we'd have to get involved in a 3-way with them with us sending prospects to a 3rd team. Maybe something involved in a Hamels deal.

    I think you're gonna need 2 of Torres/McKinney/Zagunis in any deal for Ross and then probably also include 1 or 2 of the pitchers (Underwood/CJ/PJ/Tseng, etc) I don't see how you can justify that kind of package an arm that throws sliders 46.2% of the time. There's just too much risk involved. I agree, personally, but that's probably a fair package given where we are at today that his elbow is fine, he's young, cheap and controllable. Personally I wouldn't trade for him if we had to give up more than 1 of those position players I mentioned. I would hope we could get it done with 1 of the position players and pitchers I mentioned along with a lesser player like a Black or Villanueva.

    The thing that I've been impressed with both Rizzo and Bryant is even when they are struggling they still are getting on base at a good rate.

    I don't want to hear about upcoming opponents W% or "easy stretches of games" ever again. It's [expletive] baseball, on an incredibly favored night u might be favored like 55% to 45% at most (and that's probably overstating it).

    There's really no reason Grimm, Strop or Rondon isn't the closer.

    He has one of the highest BABIP's in baseball. Yeah, that's pretty [expletive] terrifying. In July alone it's .348 and he's only hitting .239 .289 .338 .628. Yeah it's just he doesn't put the ball in play much, but when he does it's usually hit very hard

    Don't like it. The best I'd offer would be McKinney or Zagunis and 1-2 of the pitchers (PJ, CJ, Tseng, Underwood, etc).

    De La Rosa is one of the none front line pitchers I have some interest in if the price is right.
