Soler hits the ball so [expletive] hard

I'm not opposed to that idea, but if we are giving up someone like Soler I'd like to bring back a longer-term piece than just guys for 1-2 years. If we were to go that route, we should really go for it and do something like Soler, Torres, Zagunis, Alcantara and a couple others and try and get Gray in the deal instead of Kazmir.

I think it's largely due to the fact he puts the ball in play so much, often weakly, combined with not great speed (i.e. it's not likely he's going to rack up a lot of infield hits) that his BABIP will probably always be a bit low with his current approach (his combined bb/k% rate is in the mid teens in AA so he's putting the ball in play over 80% of the time).

Starlin Castro in 2015 is a below replacement level player and the Starlin Castro of the past 3 seasons isn't a player who would be hard to replace, sad as it is to say. Well aware of his lack of production, but even at that who is really available that would be a clear upgrade?
