Scott’s BB numbers scare me given our history with relief pitchers coming in who aren’t even as wild as him and losing their horsefeathers. 13% BB rate for career, 13% this year, 15% last year. Not doubt the stuff is there to be a thing but Fry seems safer. Yeah, making the decision easier should be that the Cubs basically have 3 guys who can be > Tanner Scott with power stuff from the left side in Steele, Marquez, and Carraway. Steele's probably not crazy far off from Scott, probably has a better breaking ball too I wish they would’ve given Steele 1-3 appearances while he was up to see if he was a thing. I think there’s a decent lefty reliever in him and he might be better than anyone we add anyways.
