  1. Miss the playoffs and blow it up, horsefeathering gutless losers
  2. horsefeathers off Rizzo and Ross. Glad he got his rest with 2 off days coming up, not like we could’ve used him to make that catch in one of the most important games left on the schedule.
  3. Oh cool, we have the ump calling strikes way off the plate again
  4. Freddy Peralta getting swings and misses on 90-94 FBs in the meat of the zone is just as annoying as Suter.
  5. Suter owns us. I can only imagine what Hendricks would do vs this offense.
  6. I think you are overstating the importance of these 2 games. Definitely bigger than the Indians and Twins games but with the Brewers and Cardinals playing 10 of their final 18 or so games against each other, the Cubs should be fine unless one team wins like 9 of them and the Reds get hot, or the Cubs completely flat line Nah, you win these next 2 or split and that Cardinals-Brewers series doesn’t really matter. We finish top 2 in the division. Lose the next two and suddenly you are looking at a WC spot if you don’t play .500 or better the rest of the way.
  7. Wonderful. horsefeathering Vargas. Unless Rizzo is hurt he needs to sack up and play tonight. These two games are the most important left, plus there’s off days Monday and Thursday this week. Also sure would be nice to have the guy they traded for to improve the lineup vs lefties be up here.
  8. Yup. That spaz owns us. Suter to Peralta I’d assume is the plan for the CGSO.
  9. He hasn’t struck out more than 6 batters in a game since 2016 and he’s only surpassed 5 twice since then. Hope we’re up to the challenge
  10. Yeah they’ve turned in to a good group here. And if anything they have a really nice core that might not need a ton of resources spent on it next year outside of a vet Jeffress type deal. Kimbrel/Wick/Tepera/Underwood/some combo of the 3 lefties (Ryan/Osich/Wieck), Adam, and then internal guys like Adbert/Miller/Callaway/Megill/Rodriguez/Steele/Mills. They shouldn’t need to really spend money on the pen.
  11. Bryant over last 22 PAs (only has 110 on year) .350/.409/.500 2 XBH and 144 wRC+, last 30 .286/.333/.429 3 XBH & 103 wRC+. May be turning a corner. I can’t find the other tweet to go along with this but I saw one the other day that KB is close to the top of the league of guys who have had the most balls called strikes against them in the league this year by a decent margin. Edit: This is it
  12. I’m not dismissing it or saying he’s bad. I’m saying 2018-early 2019 (looks like May) was the only time he ever really was elite. There’s a lot of other data saying that’s not likely the player you can expect him to be. Imo. Bryant was still better in 2019 and while a 4.4 win season is really good it’s not superstar good. 2018 has been the only time Javy has been in that 5+ win close to top 10 player in baseball group. I’d just bet on KB for having more value over the next however many years by him not needing to be a crazy athlete to derive value, being able to be an average to slightly below defender at a few spots (3B/RF/LF/1B) and his approach (even including the injured 2018/2019 years his BB/K, plate discipline, batted ball/contact numbers have stayed pretty consistent and at elite levels in some spots with the only outlier/drop being the power dip in 2018 due to the injury and defense dipping a little. Everything else is remarkably consistent) vs Javy and his unique approach (it’s hard to find many comps for his profile having success at elite levels for extended periods) and needing to remain a better athlete (staying a plus defender, base running, bat speed, etc).
  13. The downfalls of a 60 game season and only being ~45 games in. We’d be in mid May right now in a normal year and all this would be noise. the fact that the season ends in like 15 games isn't making people more worried about them than if it were 45 games into a normal season. it's not about the length of the suckage as much as the degree of it. there are slumps and then there is whatever is happening with bryant and baez. i'm confident in baez rebounding next year, but kb just looks completely broken down. Bryant is 7 for his last 22 with 3 XBH, you can see he’s kinda coming out of it. Javy is in an absolute funk but he has looked like horsefeathers before and flipped a switch but his comments about not having video have me concerned and even for Javy this is a deeper funk than usual. With KB we also have an injury, unfortunately, once again on top of SSS. I have far more confidence in KB moving forward, assuming health, vs Javy. Javy’s only really been elite for 2018 and early 2019 (I believe that’s the rough window). Outside of that he’s just been average to good. 2018 Javy may be the exception and not the rule. I mean Javy’s 2018 isn’t even a top 3 year for KB. KB was more valuable last year than Javy too.
  14. After not being shut out for the first 42 games of the season they’ve now been shut out in 2 of the last 3 games. Basically every hitter is in some kind of slump right now except Contreras. Some of them have been in slumps most of the year. Brutal The downfalls of a 60 game season and only being ~45 games in. We’d be in mid May right now in a normal year and all this would be noise.
  15. And now you pull him when you can’t have contact for our relief pitcher who Ks the fewest amount of guys who also pitched last night. Great job moron
  16. He’s a horsefeathering horrible manager
  17. Idiot manager back at it. Wick pitched last night and threw ~20 tonight and extending him here along with Wick being a guy who isn’t use to 1+. Just a bad, bad manager.
  18. They got completely fucked by the ump multiple times to swing ABs. One of the worst called games I’ve ever seen.
  19. Thanks for screwing the Willy AB up, ump. Should’ve been 2-0
  20. Feel like Happ, Schwarbs and KB were a combined like 5 feet from dongs tonight
  21. That’s two hard hit balls the last two games by KB. As soon as the umps stop horsefeathering him on strike calls he may be ready to go off a bit.
  22. Hell of an outing by BDJ. Do something now offense
  23. Bryant sucks but he also seems to be getting fucked over a lot on borderline calls
