Rondon almost certainly is Joe said something last night he'd have to talk to chapman because he didn't know how common it is for him to go 3 days in a row/wanted to know how he felt
Jim Duquette on MLBN right now thinks we are going to get Reddick. Didn't name names or say anything was particularly close, just thinks it will happen.
I guess I don't mind it, LaStella will be back soon and likely on the playoff roster. Give Coghlan an audition to see if he can regain what he did last year. If he sucks he's gone. Plus it seems like Bryant hasn't been playing much OF lately and with how well Baez is playing the IF is crowded giving LaStella little room for playing time.
I'd rather have Soler on the team over Szczur, it would suck losing Szczur because he's a capable MLB bench player but dumping him for Soler is a no brainer move to me unless there's some team who really values Soler still that you can get something useful, which I think is unlikely.
Wow, five pitchers in the top 10. Who would slide in to 10 once Contreras loses rookie status? Tseng has looked pretty good, especially for his age/level. Caratini, EJM or Dewees probably slide in there for me
Lackey seems like the type of pitcher the White Sox offense can do well against, since they don't take a ton of walks and Lackey throws a lot of FBs in the zone. But also their offense sucks and Lackey has held down far better offenses this year. So what I am saying is I don't have a clue.
This is pretty much how I feel. I have my doubts he can ever be a full-time player because his approach is so shitty, granted he has improved it a bit so that's not to say over the next 2-4 years we continue to see some incremental improvements. But his bat is good enough in certain spots and his defense is fantastic he should be getting about ~350 PAs where he is right now (when we are at full strength) and coming in as a defensive/base running sub. Hopefully as he grows he can do what Carlos Gomez did when he got to the Brewers as I view them as similar players at the young stages of their careers.
I just can't see that happening with what the rumored asking price has been. I think the FO is completely fine going with Contreras/Ross/Montero the rest of the year and then Contreras/Montero/whatever they can get out of Schwarber back there.
