His defense is too good, at one of the 2-3 most important positions on field, to sit him. He's shown that even when he looks awful one game he can look fine the next offensively. I agree with you. I guess I'm just surprised that he'd be willing to start Soler and trying to figure out the knock-off effect that has on other spots. It's either going to be Soler over Willy or Soler over Heyward (with Willy catching). Is my guess. I don't mind the Soler start. But I'm a bigger fan of his than most, even tho the results aren't there I think he's had some decent PAs this postseason. -
No I personally wouldn't, but he's been struggling. And for the record, not that my opinion matters, I wouldn't start Soler. If they really wanted to get this game in it seems like they should be starting it around 5 or 6 ET

I mean medically/physically he's "cleared." It's just a matter of if they feel comfortable with him out there defensively with all this time off.

Plenty of chances tonight against their absolute best pitching, 2 of their runs coming on complete fluke plays. Not worried about this series like at all.

Eh, not really that worried in the big picture. The Indians had to get really lucky for 2 of their runs. Strike zone was questionable, Schwarber didn't look silly. If we lose this game, we lose. But we still have this series

Take out that fluky horsefeathers first inning and Lester is dealing. We have this series in 6. We probably still even win this game.
