  1. I'm terrified they're going to get fleeced by the Spurs in the trade because they're scared of the same thing happening with Leonard that happened with Paul George. I really wanted LeBron and George because they would have kept all the young guys. LeBron and Kawhi this year means they probably keep Lonzo and fill out the team with a bunch of vets. Now they're going to trade for Leonard and sell out for a three year run. This is my fear as well. Almost hoping they miss out on Lebron at this point and don’t do kwahi. Let the young guys develop another year, re-sign Randle and do a bunch of 1 year deals for like Boogie, IT, etc and try and get to the 6-8 seed or else sell off at the deadline those guys. Then have at it again in FA next year where it’s a better class anyways, Kwahi, Klay, AD, Lebron, Durant.
  2. What kinda stuff does he throw?
  3. The VBs have Paul Blart in the game pitching for them
  4. His strikeout rate spiked in the minors last year after coming back from Japan. He also averages a career best 94.3 on his fastball, so he's got some velocity. While I don't think he's as good as he's been with the Cubs so far, he may not be entirely smoke and mirrors like Rosario, either. Fair enough, wasn’t aware of the splitter thing and there’s clearly guys below him on the totem pole. Still want Maples and Mekkes to get some more looks sooner than later to figure out exactly who they are and if they can be valuable pieces.
  5. Almost like this team is good, Duker and a team full of good hitters was eventually going to normalize with that RISP nonsense.
  6. He’s been good in his like 6 innings or whatever but he has a large sample of work to show he isn’t any good okay, but of the guys in the pen that need to be shot to the moon right now, he isn't near the top of the list. I agree he’s fine for now but I don’t want him around long. He has a career era/FIP/xfip in the 4s, he’s 30, he doesn’t strike anyone else and relies on contact but it is nice he doesn’t walk anyone and he’s whatever. Just want to have another better option out there even when we are at full strength.
  7. Because he stinks Oh, okay. Is a 1.09 FIP bad now? He’s been good in his like 6 innings or whatever but he has a large sample of work to show he isn’t any good
  8. Gonna give up 9+ runs and still have a RD game
  9. Just has been a base running clinic by us today (outside of Rizzos dumb ass)
  10. Bote is a legitimately decent to good MLB player. I hope we can get a good RP for him at the deadline. Also Happ is really turning a corner lately and growing/improving as a hitter.
  11. Yeah it is. He’s finally pulling balls with authority lately. Ever since that lineout to 3B in LA the other night something seemed to click
  12. Duensing just sucks and got by on some luck and magic last year. He never should’ve been brought back
  13. Something something heat something can't use entire bullpen something Not defending Duensing in any way, but we do have limited options today. Right? A few guys are probably unavailable?
  14. Giving Duensing a 2 year contract is the worst move Theo ever made
  15. This is beautiful, great base running, great approaches. #WeAreGood
  16. I mean yeah he needs to be better and he certainly was a horsefeathering idiot at times to put himself in bad spots but I saw some encouraging things and he seemed to be better with not being ridiculously wild. The 3 run inning was a lot of stupid horsefeathers and sequencing that easily could’ve been 0 runs. But yeah he needs to be better no doubt but there were some positive things to take away You keep saying this about the 2nd, but there was just the one pop up where three guys played it tentative to not collide with each other. Unfortunate, but that horsefeathers happens. Everything else was line drives, a BB, and a double that was smoked. He also struck out the pitcher, who he usually walks, so good job there I guess? Well a ball that’s never a hit still was a cause for it to get there and you can’t give free outs, he also had Mauer struck out and it wasn’t called and we had a weird shift on and if Almora is playing normal he has a chance on it. At the end of the day, yes you gotta figure it out but it took some weird horsefeathers to get there and he effectively should’ve been out of the inning with a number of different breaks.
