  1. I’ve wondered the same thing as well and can get on board with taking that route. Smyly fits this role as well if he is able to be back this year.
  2. Hopefully Russell is fine, Javy needed to get the hell out of the way there. That’s Russell’s ball the whole way.
  3. He’s had it closer to 30% for a good chunk of time now and he still takes his walks and his contact rates are improving and when he is making contact it’s usually hard contact.
  4. Happ’s been really good and doing some very promising things for a few weeks now. Probably a good thing we didn’t give up on a 22/23 year old top 10 pick a month in to the season.
  5. Thanks for catching that ball, Rizzo. Shouldn’t even be in this inning anymore
  6. well, damn. i dont mind if Jon only goes 5 innings and we let like, rosario pitch 3 innings or whatever. who cares Farrell, Rosario and Maples should hopefully be able to finish it off
  7. Yes, no horsefeathers Guys like Sofa and I, we were trying to tell you this. We can agree scoring a lot of runs is ideal and fun
  8. The collapse potential is lessening In all seriousness, see how much more fun this is? Yes, no horsefeathers, this is a lot more fun
  9. The Twins might literally throw a towel in today
  10. Oh definitely, the approach and game plans have just been fantastic. They are spitting on bad pitches, working counts and making good contact when they do hit. I’m sure we’ll get shut down again soon because baseball, but this is the approach we should see more times than not.
  11. Would be good if Rizzo gets going again
  12. With the off day tomorrow I’m a little surprised we didn’t just throw Farrell or Underwood out there today to get Jon and the rest of the rotation an extra 1-2 days of rest.
  13. Hopefully Jon settles in now, he was missing spots bad
  14. Ottavino is a FA after the year and is like 34, I don’t think he’d cost much more than Bote and whatever arm they want from the system. I also want to trade Caritini while he still has some value on what he could be as a switch hitting catcher because I think he sucks. Ottavino would be great, but Colorado is positioning themselves as buyers, not sellers. here's an article talking about who might be availalble: https://www.mlb.com/news/reliever-trade-rumors-hand-iglesias-britton/c-283023802 Of those names, the standouts to me are obviously Hand and Iglesias. I like Kela as an under the radar guy and Oh has had a very nice bounceback year. Yeah the Treinen and Ottavino targets require their teams to fall out a bit more than where they are now. The Rockies are horsefeathering idiots too and they wouldn’t know when to sell if it hit them in face anyways. I liked Oh as a buy low target in the offseason, and I’d like to aim higher now but he’d be okay for me.
  15. Rene Rivera is also injured right now. Not too worried about the backup C spot. I think Caratini could fill it if necessary. All the names you mentioned will come at hefty prices, especially Treinen, Hand and Ottavino. So Britton looks pretty bad right now and I'm not sure how much value he has. Might not be fully right till next year. Ottavino is a FA after the year and is like 34, I don’t think he’d cost much more than Bote and whatever arm they want from the system. I also want to trade Caritini while he still has some value on what he could be as a switch hitting catcher because I think he sucks.
  16. Haha, yeah I’ve done that with guys before. Also assuming full health I don’t think the hand the acquired pitcher throws with is that big of a deal. Monty will be in the pen for lefties, Carl does well against them, Morrow is good, Wilson has kinda not been bad even tho I still hate him. Treinen and Ottavino kill lefties just fine too.
  17. O’day is a righty and out for the year, fyi. But yes I agree, not a ton of needs. I’d like a backup catcher upgrade, Martin Maldonado or old friend Rene Rivera would be nice. As for bullpen arms...... I’d really like another bullpen add and think we should sell off whatever minor leaguers to get a kick ass guy. Treinen and Ottavino would be my top two targets followed by Hand and Britton. Kirby Yates also intrigues, Seth Lugo and Robert Gsellmen are also be high on the list since they can both start if needed. But I’d say those are the RPs I want the most
