  1. We are due for a sweep, or least a series win on the road.
  2. Vic is at a .160/.290/.160 slash line with a 33 wRC+ in the second half, since May he's at .222/.304/.354, 74 wRC+ (112 PAs) since June he's at .228/.287/.380 with a 73 wRC+ in 87 PAs (he has 129 on the year). I don't think we're missing the bat that much for the next ~30 days, especially since Willy will be catching all but a few games in August (we have an off day a week, every week in August IIRC).
  3. I’m calling BS on this rumor. I think it’s idiots making idiotic guesses. Theo lamented with no waiver trades how he wanted to build out depth, especially at C. It’s far more likely Vic is sent down or they go with 3 catchers on the roster until Sept 1 than move Maldonado. Yeah, this one confuses me. For the same reasons why they traded for him is the same reason why they should still want him. Sure, if somebody makes a nice offer, fine. But that's not going to happen. Also, I don't think they'd consider sending down Vic. As of right now, he has earned his spot as a Major League player. I just don't think they'd dick with him like that. He doesn't belong in the minors. For roster construction/flexibility reasons he might have to go down for 2-4 weeks here. He’s proven to be a worthy backup but I’d rather send him down and preserve depth than send Maldonado away for nothing or have to do some other roster move that doesn’t optimize things.

  5. Lol, okay Mets.
  6. It will also be interesting to see what moves the Cards make as well. It doesn’t sounds like they are going to do much outside of a RP, I think they want a lefty. They really need a bullpen arm, a real starter and probably another bat to really win the divisions. IMO.
  7. Back in first, should’ve swept. Go make some trades before the STL series.
  8. The bullpen choices still were What's your suggestion? The entire bullpen isn't to be trusted. Using Cishek as first guy out was criminal. Cishek should’ve been completely down. Wick/Holland(for the lefty matchup)/Kimbrel (yeah he sucked but and blew it but was also up the prior 3 innings) should’ve been the guys from the 8th on. Also Chatwood probably needs a look as a RP candidate and should’ve been in over Cishek.
  9. They’re gonna win tomorrow and be in first place going in to STL. This sport is dumb
  10. The Brewers aren’t relevant outside of H2H games, they really suck. And the Cardinals aren’t a good team but hey, they had a nice 9 game run or something. We’ll be fine. weird time to resurrect the duke nonsense but alright Assuming no ridiculous sell off by us or injuries and no team winning like 35 of 46 or whatever the Brewers did we are still winning this division. The talent sucks, but we suck least.
  11. No it’s true. Frustrating, but true. https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=pit&lg=all&qual=0&type=8&season=2019&month=0&season1=2019&ind=0&team=0,ts&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&startdate=&enddate= Brewers passed the Cubs tonight, though somehow their offense is actually a little worse Their offense has always been worse
  12. Cubswin11, that's what makes me want to punch a hole in the wall, which I would do if I wasn't worried about me breaking it. We have more talent than the Brewers. And I don't like the fact that we don't stomp them into the ground a lot more than we should since the early part of last season. It's really starting to irritate the horsefeathers out of me. idk why you're stuck on the brewers when the cardinals exist and look like the best team in the division. The Brewers aren’t relevant outside of H2H games, they really suck. And the Cardinals aren’t a good team but hey, they had a nice 9 game run or something. We’ll be fine.
  13. stop saying this. it's completely meaningless and probably not even true at this point. No it’s true. Frustrating, but true.
  14. horsefeathers off Joe, fire him on the off day Monday. Theo set this roster up just enough for him to fail and he’s pulling all the wrong levers
  15. It definitely seems to be a problem that they are so unwilling to IL guys. Who knows what it is, maybe the medical staff sucks and just thinks things can be played through, maybe the players aren’t being honest, whatever it is it’s ridiculous they are so against using the IL (especially now that it’s 10 days and for guys like Descalso).
  16. Counter point, Robel doesn’t care about your splits and is gonna have 2 XBH’s tonight.
  17. Imagine how good he’ll be when he comes back after getting over this ankle injury that’s been bothering him for 4 months!
  18. Another optimized and thought out lineup, at least Win idiots
  19. Best I can gather, his excuse is that in the bottom half of the inning, the home team gets to bat. [tweet] [/tweet] What has a higher probability of backfiring: Hendricks pitching to their heart of the order another time (instead of Kyle Ryan) or exposing your garbage ass middle relievers for the rest of the game? Yes
  20. For as pissed as I am, we’re still the best team in the division and we’re gonna win the dumb thing in the end. Just be better, idiots.
  21. horsefeathers these losers, except KB. He’s the only good one and I don’t blame him for when he leaves in FA.
