  1. Of course we shifted on that and got burned
  2. Catch the ball like a normal person, especially an important one like that, please Almora.
  3. Send Vic up there or something and save Schwarbs bat for later if needed, after a HR and vs a lefty. Also maybe just leave Kyle in.
  4. My uncle has season tickets for the Brewers behind home plate, about 16 rows up and on the aisle. The row over is where scouts sit, last year Theo and McCleod were like 3 seats from me for a game. But anyways my dad has the tickets tonight and he says there’s Blue Jays scouts by him, fwiw. Get Ken Giles.
  5. Always loved Bote and never doubted him, give him an extension.
  6. Is this something unique to us or something that every fan thinks is a problem for their team but really every team mostly only has good numbers vs FB and average to bad numbers vs off speed?
  7. Oh come the horsefeathers on with that call
  8. For fucks sake Bote, send his ass down
  9. He’s made similar plays a few times this year. That was a very nice play by Happ, but Schwarbs has made similar ones. I feel like Schwarber’s biggest weakness defensively is going toward the line, but I could be wrong. https://www.mlb.com/video/max-fried-lines-out-to-left-fielder-kyle-schwarber There’s more but I don’t care to look, that one popped up quick.

  11. This is a trash horsefeathering zone
  12. It seems like the first lineup in forever that some thought and information was put in to forming it, vs just going with what Joe felt like.
  13. Really like Willy leading off vs LHP, he makes a lot of sense there looking at numbers. Also like Javy out of the 2 spot and back behind the OBP guys.
  14. Seems like a suboptimal move
  15. Well this is the start of 9 pretty important games for us, it would be a wise strategy to win more of those 9 games than lose IMO. However we used our 1 allotted road win per month on Wednesday so the boys are really going to have dig deep to win this one. The last time Hendricks faced Gio in a game the Cubs and Nats almost literally broke the game of baseball, while we should look to avoid some of the dumbness of that affair the same outcome would be desirable.
  16. Eh, it’s clear he’s never going to put it together there (idk if he ever does between the health and being more a thrower than a pitcher). He turns 27 at end of year, he has two years to FA. He still is gonna be valued high and they’d get a haul. It wouldn’t be the dumbest thing to move him now before he potentially blows out. Him and the team also seem to not have the greatest relationship. I get why they’d move him. Whatever they do with him likely ends up the wrong move though. Either they trade him and a team that knows what they’re doing tweaks him to get him pitching to his potential and he stays healthy and the guys they get back flame out or they keep him and his arm/shoulder blows or he keeps being a good but not great pitcher who struggles to go more than ~150 innings a year.
  17. We need to pry Conforto or Nimmo loose.I’m a huge Conforto guy and would love to get him between now and the offseason. I think Nimmo got Mets’d already, he has some weird neck thing going on.
  18. Totally agree. You can handle him with kid gloves all you want but you never know when the bomb is gonna go off. Dont waste too much time with him in Iowa. Especially since you might be able to avoid trading for some meh LHRP by just throwing him into the fire.Yeah that’s the other thing, if he is a thing maybe the RP add changes or isn’t needed or isn’t as costly an add.
  19. He needs to be up sooner than later, there might be only so many bullets.
  20. Generally, based on his age/innings pitched, what’s the time table for him to advance to MB - then TN - then IA? He's a bit more raw than most so I'd guess start at A+ in 2020 with an outside shot at AA after their ASB if he's killing it. With that said, improving a third pitch would let him potentially move faster. Yeah and also how long they hold on to him trying to be a SP vs thinking he’s a RP at the ML level. Which they should give him every opportunity to be a starter for the foreseeable future until he gives them reason not to.
