  1. That works. We also have had a lead in every one of those 4 losses, iirc.
  2. Spot in rotation next year? Hopefully he’s shown enough to be traded in the offseason in his final year. Or hopefully we have enough money to keep him in the pen as a long man. But I’d hope we sign Hamels back or some other FA and Adbert/Rea/Graveman is the 6-8 depth.
  3. Castellanos might have had one too.
  4. horsefeathering defense cost Yu 1, maybe 2 innings today.
  5. At least Maldonado is hitting .273/.357/.636 in his first 13 PA for the Astros and doesn’t play a position of need for us Should’ve just tried Maldonado at 2B
  6. Jesus Christ you slow fat horsefeathers
  7. God damn it. One day we’ll abandon the strategy of just letting guys keep playing through things and not do anything until it becomes worse/doesn’t go away for a week to 10 days. And just properly use the 10 day IL, one day.
  8. Yeah that’s how I feel. Seems like it should be more a 16-21 ranked system right now and with some things breaking right by next year at this time closer to top 10 than top 20.
  9. They’re absolutely cheating. Passan almost let it out of the bag on one of the Effectively Wild podcast in the offseason. Believe the comment was “people wouldn’t believe the things you hear they are doing.” Or something along those lines, that they’re doing insane things and it’s systemic in the org but then kinda caught himself and didn’t share anything more.
  10. 2.1IP 1H 1R(not earned) 2BB And 3Ks for Adbert. Guessing he hit a pitch count, 47 pitches.
  11. He has bone chips/spurs in his elbow, he can only go around 70-80 pitches an outing because of it. Didn't Lester have this problem in 2016? He has a bone spur in his elbow but it isn’t a problem based on its size/location, iirc. It’s not rubbing on any ligaments/muscle/tendon/whatever. It could grow to the point of being a problem and he’d need surgery that isn’t overly serious.
  12. You can definitely get aggressive on his and Cain’s arm And StL’s outfield too. Cubs just didn’t put the ball in play to force them to make plays. They lead the league going first to third I think, they get aggressive plenty.

  14. I didn’t think GBs could find holes vs this defense. Good work Javy.
  15. Play him everyday, I’ve always said.
  16. God damn it, Willy. Catch the horsefeathering ball.
  17. He’s quite likely the best RP
  18. Yeah, Phelps really didn’t look that bad. Dog horsefeathers BABIP luck. The 0-2 pitch should’ve been better but still got soft contact.
  19. Damn, some hard contact this inning
