  1. The guys look really loose in the dugout, hopefully we can go on a nice run here like 10 of 12 or 15 of 18.
  2. If he could have come through early on in the season w/RISP he would be off to a monster start, but his avg/obp/slg/HR are all off to a great start the RBI's will come. He's 0-14 w/RISP and 2-22 w/men on base. If he could have capitalized on those spots (even hitting .200-.300) he would probably be around the 20-25 RBI mark.
  3. Since Lee isn't in the lineup tonight he must have taken the honors of running batting practice today and taught everyone how to show off their warning track power.
  4. It's not like Soto has been doing great offensively or defensively and Hill has done better than Soto thus far at both.
  5. I thought they said yesterday Ramirez would probably play, probably game time decision. Marmol is also available tonight after his side session went well yesterday. Lee is the only guy that won't play for sure, but should be back no later than Thursday. This was all according to the sun times twitter.
  6. Mark Grace needs to take this entire team out tonight and find them all a slump buster
  7. When was the last time a pitcher threw a complete game with under 100 pitches? Haren might do it tonight, but hey at least our lineup is balanced :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
  8. Is Grudzielanek(sp?) an option? He put up a .299/.345/.743 line last year, which isn't great but certainly more than Fontenot/Miles are producing right now and certainly more than Gathright will ever produce (the guy Grud would likely replace on the roster).
  9. Fontenot looks like a little leaguer at 3B and not just because he is 5'5''... Seriously DFA Gathright and bring in a backup INF. Mark Grudzielanek(sp?) is still a FA. He could at least provide a decent bat in the lineup and we could at least tolerate a little below average D, as opposed to Miles/Fontenot where we are getting little to no offense and absolutely no D.
  10. He's far too athletic to fail. He may not stick as a QB, but I'll be shocked if he doesn't excel with a team at another position. Yeah he'll stick at some position in the NFL. It's important he gets into the right system though. I could see him making it at TE, FB, RB (Wild cat offense 5-10 carries a game), or some limited reps at QB either in the red zone or in a wild cat style offense. He might even be able to make it as a LB.
  11.   That lineup is straight out of 06'
  12. He has been really good this year. D-Backs offense is that bad. No run support at all. Yeah, I just looked it up. He only allowed 4 runs in 4 starts throwing for 26 innings. The DBacks got shut out twice when he started. I feel bad for the guy, he seems to have been really good so far. Haren always starts out really good, but fades in the second half. Career 1st Half: 84GS, 547IP, 3.26ERA, 1.107WHIP, 477H/129BB Career 2nd Half: 74GS, 476 IP, 4.12 ERA, 1.328WHIP, 524H/108BB But he has better K/9 and SO/BB #'s in the second half throughout his career.
  13. Lilly just needs to steamroll Molina again. Zambrano needs to Kill up a teammate. I propose Miles. Fixed
  14. Sure the guys that make the big money should be expected to produce and put up numbers (they got the big money because they put up numbers), but just because a guy is making league min./close to it doesn't mean he gets a free pass for not producing. When a guy has a season like Soto did last year he should be expected to post similar numbers the next year regardless of how much money he is/isn't making.
  15. Memo To All Cubs Players: Not one of you are good at stealing bases, stop trying.
  16. Dave Bush has a no hitter through 6 for the Brewers
  17. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hoff in RF either, Bradley looked liked a 90 year old grandma out there last night and with day game after night game there is probably a decent chance he sits this one out.
  18. Now I know Miles isn't as bad as he has shown so far, but I would really like to know what Hendry saw/sees in him that warranted giving him a 2 year deal for almost $5 mil.
