  1. I feel a big series this weekend for Milton, a hitter as good as he is doesn't go hitless that long
  2. The fact he managed to stay alive after being down in the count a couple of times is encouraging, regardless of who it was against. Agreed he looked good tonight hopefully he can keep it up, I think a platoon and a little more down time/better matchups will do him well this year
  3. Kosuke has actually looked like he had a chance at the plate tonight even though it was against Brian Moehler/Russ Ortiz
  4. Hopefully not, you know he will pitch 7 or 8 shutout innings and hit a HR onto Sheffield
  5. I'll give him a pass on the Pence HR, he pitched pretty well
  6. Just off the end of the bat there for the HOFF. Patton coming in, Marmol better be getting ready
  7. And Keppinger. That's bad. I'd be willing to put down a large amount of money that those 3 don't all homer in the same game again this year. Pudge is going to abuse those Crawford boxes this year. I think he hits 15-20 homers (total). Even so, all 3 of those guys going deep in the same game again? I'll take the under
  8. Don't worry we got Luis Rivas on our side this year...
  9. Did Kosuke just do a mini Fonzie Hop on the ball from Berkman?
  10. And Keppinger. That's bad. I'd be willing to put down a large amount of money that those 3 don't all homer in the same game again this year.
  11. I don't know if there is anyone who can have a 0fer night in MLB and make it look as good/be as productive as Milton
  12. why are you leaving out vitters? I knew I was forgetting someone when I was typing, but yeah Vitters is obviously the main guy.
  13. Volquez 107 pitches in 4 1/3 IP tonight
  14. Volquez 107 pitches in 4 1/3 IP tonight, he just got taken out...
  15. Any idea what the wind is gonna do to balls tonight? Cubs really didn't get anything in the air in the inning.
  16. Could be worse we could be stuck listening to Hawk, the Cardinals or the gems that they got doing Reds games.
  17. I hate that we are still talking about this, but if we are going to pull of a trade without getting a 3rd team involved it will probably have to be Marhsall, Stevens, probably 2 of Archer/Gaud/Ascanio/Atkins/Wells and we would probably have to do a PTBNL out of a group of guys like Cashner, Flaherty, Jackson, or Carpenter. That is still a fairly weak package and unless the Padres are in a dire financial situation and just can't afford his contract that isn't that great of a return.
  18. After Marmol not even warming up last night and an off day tomorrow there is no doubt in my mind Lou pitches Marmol 2 innings regardless of the score/situation of the game.
  19. I really hope Lou never brings Gregg in again w/RISP or just with runners on. It's pretty clear to me he doesn't have the stuff to come and strike 2-3 guys out with guys on, he's going to give up hits/BB. I am fine with Gregg being closer, but he needs to come in fresh to start an inning in order to be successful IMO, he needs to be able to have the wiggle room to give up a hit or BB because his stuff isn't lights out.
  20. Hopefully a few days mean Saturday or Sunday at the latest against Milwaukee.
