  1. Alright if Bradley doesn't get a hit tonight I declare he receives no black guys for a week. But seriously I think he has gone 3-2 in everyone of his AB's so far, it's only a matter of time.
  2. Yeah, he really, really isn't very good right now. I was a little bit disappointed about him entering. But, supposedly he comes from a poor family, so I definitely can't blame the guy. If Turner comes back it would be awesome, though. :)Yeah I don't blame the guy for entering, especially because he knows he is going to probably be a top 20 pick, if his family needs money/isn't well off. There were rumblings that he wasn't liking how he was handled at OSU so that could also play into it. I probably saw at least 10 OSU games this year and he showed me very little that convinced me he has staying power in the NBA. The best thing he has going for him right now is that he is 7 foot and young, skill and attitude wise I think he has a ways to go.
  3. He threw out a runner in the 3rd I believe, he finished the inning behind the plate, but then Hill was back out there the next inning and they said he left with shoulder tightness/pain from throwing the runner out. I would guess this early in the year it's more precautionary than anything, but you know it's the Cubs...
  4. And that is what usually happens to start the year. No big deal. Yeah the last 2 years this offense, which is pretty much the same as the last 2 seasons, have been pretty slow starters and then they have really picked it up by end of April/Mid May, so I am not to worried either. Dempster pitched effectively tonight, not great but I'll take that every 4th day, with a lot of people calling for a regression out of him he looked pretty close to his 08' form. All he really needs to do is tighten up his location a little bit as he had good movement on all of his pitches.
  5. That ball wasn't hit that hard, even if he picks it up i don't see them turning the DP. That said, i would liked to have seen them try. I was thinking the MI was in, when I saw the ball off the bat it looked like it was in the general SS area when the INF is drawn in. I didn't see the MI back until they replayed it from a wider view. I was also assuming Aaron Miles is a MLB SS, which he isn't....
  6. IMO this was Lou's worst managed game in his tenure with the Cubs. And I don't even think it's close.
  7. Lou has some serious questions to answer after that gem
  8. Where was Miles on that one, was the MI back?
  9. Gregg?  This Isn't Going To End Well... This is like the 20th move of the night Lou has absolutely dumbfounded me
  10. All they have said on TV is that Soto left with a sore right shoulder but not how serious/bad it was, anyone listening to 720? That they would have said something more about it.
  11. :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:
  12. Well the little bit that he has pitched last night/tonight it hasn't looked like 07/08 Cotts.
  13. 1 more, Astros trying to pull their best Cubs impersonation here
  14. If Cotts somehow gets out of this I may consider going streaking or striking a child
  15. Nice to know Cotts is ready to come in :cray: :cray:
  16. Marmol, or maybe Heilman for another inning, Marshall is available for the next few games because he is being skipped the first time through.
