  1. Loney was trying his hardest not to walk there
  2. Hopefully we can get a run or twenty this inning so Gregg has some ability to suck like he usually does.
  3. What an awful call, Pierre was almost stepping off the base when Lee caught that. But I'll take it.
  4. So we got this Marmol today, I fully expect another BB (possibly a WP as well) and then he will proceed to strike out the side.
  5. Why pitch to Kemp there with effin Castro on deck?
  6. The thing is, is that it's hard to even get mad over that because it was expected.
  7. I think Indy, Kentucky (Louisville), or one of the Carolina's would have been a better place to start a team.
  8. Lol, Morgan looked like he thought he hit that onto the roof tops.
  9. Maybe the pitching staff has a bet to see who can get Lou to go out there and get ejected first. With Lilly's and Z's actions the last few days.
  10. He was clearly safe, and it wasn't even close Morgan had almost his whole left arm over the plate.
  11. Seriously, when he's not hitting there's not a more useless player in baseball. During his current slump, hes been brutal even by Bad Soriano standards. He's due for one of his hot streaks in the near future, he's been brutal for weeks now.
  12. Milton looks like he is starting to get locked in. He's had some good ab's the last few games
  13. He did bump the ump, but the ump moved towards him and their elbow/shoulders slightly touched. He then proceeded to throw the ball from home plate, without a step, all the way to the warning track, then threw his glove, and then absolutely destroyed the fancy new gatorade machine in the dugout we got this year.
  14. Now Freel may have a legit injury. Good by 3 headed monster, hello trade. Probably not, but it would be nice. Sign Ray Durham
  15. We only had like 34-37 guys on the 40-man to start the year, so we should be alright.
  16. I was really big on him when we got him, he was pretty highly touted coming out of HS in the draft. I was surprised the Padres gave up on him so early/easily. He hasn't been great with us for the majority of the time he has been here but he seems to be turning around and coming through on his potential. He just turned 21 so A ball is about the right level for him, hopefully he can get to AA by July.
  17. Seriously that's nice to see though
  18. Law just did his mock draft on ESPN. Anybody got insider to see who he has the Cubs taking/what he has to say about the pick/Cubs.
  19. Lou made it sound like Marshall would go to the pen. At least Cotts will be gone?
  20. So assuming all is well with Harden and he is back end of next week or so who gets bumped out of the rotation? If we go strictly on a production basis there is no way either Marshall or Wells should be removed. Do we go with alternating Marshall/Wells as the 5th starter/long man depending on matchups?
  21. So are there any updated projections for Weiters? Now that he is up a little later than expect and wasn't tearing the cover off the ball in the minors.
  22. when has hendry severely overpaid in a trade? i've got one in like 6 years of him being a GM, juan pierre. in trades for good major league players, hendry has actually not paid all that much (nomar, lee, ramirez, harden). I wonder if Hoff is going to be part of this along with all the usual suspects. Oh, Hendry also overpaid for Kevin "[expletive]" Gregg. I don't see why the Padres would need someone like Hoffpauir. Gonzalez has him blocked (and they got Blanks in the minors), they probably won't move Giles for reasons similar to the Cubs not moving Lee. He could take time away from Chase Headley, that's about it. But Headley has been a casualty of home/road splits. He's not too bad when hitting away from Petco, so who's to say Hoffpauir will be as good as Headley is in Petco? Now that I think about it, it'd be nice if they swing a deal for Peavy & Headley, since Headley is primarily a 3B, but that won't happen When all this is over, I just really hope Vitters is still on the team one way or the other. I'm not gonna hold my breath on that though if a deal actually goes through I think there is a chance that Vitters doesn't need to be involved, but I think 1 of Vitters or Jackson will be. A package built around Wells/Marshall (a guy who can get them innings in the bigs now, and be at least league average), Jackson, Archer and Starlin Castro or Josh Harrison might be a good starting point to go off of and add 1 or 2 guys.
