  1. Tied or does he have it outright? From the sounds of it, outright
  2. holy [expletive]... he really just said that? Said the only reason he wasn't playing was because of the big money contracts that Soriano, Byrd, and Kosuke have. Then went on to try a point the finger at Lou or the GM at who is making that decision, then said "shouldn't he (Lou) be putting the best lineup out there to win everyday!?!" Ah hey dumb [expletive], Soriano/Byrd/Kosuke is the OF lineup that gives us the best chance to win everyday.
  3. Ramirez is killing this team right now
  4. According to another MLB.com board Starlin is the first player to play in MLB that was born in the 90's and then obviously the first 90's born player to hit a HR, kinda a cool fact/stat. Also I got $100 that the Reds broadcast rolls out more Bartman footage/talking points after Votto made that catch to end the inning
  5. Much appreciated for the quick links. Keep em coming. Starlin isn't slow
  6. They were once about $10 cheaper. I don't know why they upped the price. Yeah I remember when they were $25. THE GOOD OLD DAYS. $21.95 here w/o shipping, but still should come in under $30 total. http://www.wrigleyvillesports.com/Chicago-Cubs/Chicago-Cubs-Player-Name-and-Number-T-Shirts/Chicago-Cubs-Starlin-Castro-Name-and-Number-T-Shirt
  7. Yeah that's like the Yankees sedning Joba Chamberlain or Phil Hughes to the pen at first. Or the Twins sending Johan Santana or Francisco Liriano there. Or the Cardinals sending Adam Wainwright there. Good teams never do that. David Price with the Rays, Rangers are doing it with Feliz right now and most still think he will end up a starter, Red Sox with Papelbon and Bucholz. There is evidence of other teams doing it with top prospects to fill holes and those guys end up as starters down the line when spots open up (which has usually been within the next season or two).
  8. Hopefully this is the start of a great career!
  9. In Seattleville they say that Milton Bradley's small heart grew THREE SIZES that day! :rotfl:
  10. It's the perfect time to fire Lou actually Hendry could say its not Lou's fault we just need a change and a shake-up That's what it will be, we will probably see a lineup including Tracy, Nady, Colvin, Hill, Fontenot, and Baker with guys batting in places they shouldn't, or even in the lineup to begin with.
  11. Mark Derosa just hit an RBI double. Hahahahah! You're not seriously wishing they had DeRosa instead, right? Not really. This team isn't going to contend, anyway. It would have been nice to have him last year, though. That .250/.319/.433 line would have really made a difference. The Cubs got a good return for him.
  12. Comeback starts now boys!!!* *Green font at ones own discretion
  13. WTF was that McCutchen? We'll take the free out.
  14. Ramirez might seriously have a lower WAR so far this year than Juan Pierre
  15. When was the last time Ramriez had a good ab? Seriously it's been a long time since he made good solid contact and did anything.
  16. It's safe to say the league has figured out Randy Wells
  17. And of course the Pirates get two [expletive] hits after the walks
  18. Owning car dealerships, for one. He had one in Iowa City for years that was bought out a couple of years ago. I'm not sure how much the deal was worth, but I don't believe he's necessarily hurting for money. I believe he also owns a technology consulting firm, which is successful. Sometimes he likes to pop off. I think he's just like that. I don't think it necessarily means he spends every moment of his life being bitter. Some guys just like to go off on a rant sometimes. He does, I know a guy who works there.
  19. Up to old shenanigans. Milt pissed he got pulled in the 6th after going 0-3 with 2k's. Sounds like he left the stadium before the game ended or got out of there before reporters were left in. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=5163297
