    Maybe in 2011, and wow he was out by a good half step.

    Correct, he's also reached on a FC, so we are looking at a HBP, reaching on an E, or catchers interference in his coming ab's to round out the potential ways he has yet to reach base.

    His "glove" is good, so far it has been the throws. He was viewed as a raw fielder who had good-plus range and a plus arm he just needs refining.

    I get what Lee is saying and respect it, I think he could have worded it a little better though without sounding like he feels Rudy is worthless in helping him. Either way it's what most people believe about the hitting coach and veteran player relationship, Lee just contextualized it.

    Johnny Gomes is quickly becoming one of my most hated players in MLB. Not because he is killing us this series, but more because of his hair and douchbaggery on the basepaths and reactions after hits.

    Miles, and it's not even close. Agreed. Aaron Miles' OPS last year: .466. Joe Mauer's OBP last year: .444. In fairness Miles had a much higher Grit Factor last year

    I also liked Ramirez's reaction with Lee standing at home plate on the triple waiting for Byrd to come around, it was like "oh [expletive] that just happened."

    Yeah just a little... But so far the reports of him being able to make contact on just about anything is true.
