  1. Didn't Dusty do that to Harang a year or two ago? I believe Harang was on 2 days rest that night (which is more normal to throw a side session). But they left Harang out there for something like 63 pitches. I doubt the Mets will leave Pelfrey out there that long even if the game goes back to being tied again. Found it came off a 103 pitch outing on 3 days rest to throw 63 pitches in extras, 166 total in 4 days. http://scott-miller.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/view/6270335?mcctag=Aaron%20Harang
  2. Didn't Dusty do that to Harang a year or two ago? Yeah it was a game in SD, he was coming off a 100+ pitch start and then I want to say pitched 30-40 pitches in extras on 3 or less days rest. I believe he also made his next scheduled start.
  3. Lohse just made a catch that Soriano may not make......
  4. LaRussa has gotten 3 DUI's this game.
  5. Anybody who can't hit a ball out of the infield on Mather should be automatically out.
  6. So who pitches for the Cardinals in the 20th?
  7. :rotfl: McGwire is going to have to bat soon (or pitch)
  8. Let's be honest he's been drinking since 7 when he got up this morning and before he drove the stadium.
  9. That was just a piss poor slide by Ludwick, he touched second with his knee/thigh. If he goes in head first with his hands or feet first and touches 2B with his foot he is easily safe.
  10. Yes, I too share the shock and surprise of McCarver that a player did something so pedestrian. I forgot to add the *green font disclaimer on the post. But yea I think everyone on here gets the idea it was nothing to get excited about. Oh, I got it. I was being sarcastic in regards to McCarver's dumb reaction, not you. :good:
  11. LOL leadoff walks. Figure out a way to extend this game Cardinals to get this game past the 19th.

  13. That was surprising Mather actually got to 1B to cover that throw. Not being a pitcher that is in no way instinctive to have your first reaction after the pitch to start heading to first.
  14. LOL at the homeplate ump issuing warnings after Bay's HBP, come on K-Rod blow this save.
  15. Gotta steal here when the pitcher isn't topping 80 mph. No need to bunt.
  16. Pretty sure he was safe there, tag was applied on the upper thigh. Either way Valdez should be called out for not even thinking about getting into a slow jog around first or even sliding into 2B.
  17. Dave Duncan knows how to find the diamonds in the rough, amirite?
  18. Come on schmucks let's leave town with a winning home stand and a .500 record.
  19. I think it's fine here, I also had him on 2 teams. The 6 walks are a bit of a asterisk to put on it, but a no hitter non the less and he is a very underrated pitcher that the "general fan" doesn't know about. Also it's a no-hitter with 6 walks that will make you appreciate Woodies 20K game more.
  20. Nobody wants to score in the STL NYM game
  21. Pretty much, this is the first loss of the year where I really felt indifferent about.
  22. Not to mention he isn't a closer and his perceived value will be lower because he doesn't have a high number of career saves.
