well yeah, that is pinch hitting 101. Coghlan had to go out to be announced as pinch hitter to force the change. That is also why Bochy hesitated for a second to make sure Cogs was officially announced and thus unable to come back in later. Yeah but still hilarious. Bochy was playing bullpen roulette in the 9th.

Watching Coghlan go out to pretend he was actually going to bat was pretty funny. Joe knew Bochy would switch, you even saw Contreras in the dugout ready to go.

OK so Bob talking about making NLDS 2-2-3 to advantage the best record team with more home games...but I think I like the 5 game NLDS because it only lets the wild card team use their best pitcher once, or twice on short rest.
