  1. Warren with 2 starts in Iowa means he's back in 2 weeks which puts us in the middle of our current 24 games in 24 days stretch. They might be trying to get him to to take 1-2 starts right before the break.
  2. I'm OK with Warren getting some more pitches in.
  3. Why did Richard have to make this evening less fun.
  4. Best part of us sweeping them, is they would be below .500 again.
  5. With his great ability to bunt and his strikeout tendency it just seems like that was the proper play. Not a fan of bunting, but I agree, that was the time to bunt.
  6. It is a run differential game. Richard better go hide.
  7. That 5th pitch to Russell was called a ball by gameday, yet he struck out on it.
  8. Meh at any given time just about any of us has said something rather meatbally. No problem with calling someone out for it, but the level of hostility goes a little too far some times.
  9. Alright 2nd time through the lineup lets get some runs.
  10. On my birthdate the 43-52 Cubs lost to the 51-44 Dodgers with a score of 3 - 5 in 12 innings. Tom Dettore gave up 2 runs in the 12th for the loss. Bill Madlock was leading the team with a .358/.389/.472 at the time.
  11. Have him pitch from first bash duh.
  12. Where's Coghlan when we need him.
  13. i think you're in teh same camp as me on this...i don't hate vin scully at all. i just think he's a senile boring old man as an announcer, and, for whatever reason, the whole baseball world pretends he isn't. Yeah, the guy was one of the greats, and has a great voice, but most of his announcing is just rambling nonsense at this point and so many people act like he's still at the top of his game. The guy should have retired a long time ago. CUBS WIN. He goes off on such wild tangents during games that you lose track of what is going on.
  14. Vin Scully is bad but he's still far from the worst. The Sox already have a ready-made worst booth to choose. Lets not forget good ole Thom Brennaman.
