    In partial defense of our pitchers.... walks seem to be up this year all over MLB. I wonder if they've put some pressure on the umpires to call the strike zone as it's described in the rules ???? If that were the case, shouldn't walks be down? The called zone is tighter than the rule book zone. But if they cut out the outside without calling the high strike (which they're certainly not calling) then the zone shrinks
