  1. He hasn't pitched in 4 days and it's a close game
  2. maybe that goateed guy was evil aaron miles. I'd prefer if it had been bad Miles
  3. Blown call, but what is with Cubs players being so far off base all the time this season?
  4. Well, sure, but if he permanently changes his approach and winds up hitting for more power for an extended duration, it will be very interesting to see what happens with things like his average. Not so much to judge his performance as to see what happens when someone dramatically changes hitting styles in a short period of time without a dramatic physical change. (granted, looking at his average over the past two weeks isn't very useful)
  5. Where was Tejada playing Lee on that?
  6. He took two pitches inside that were called for strikes. But he should have been swinging at the second one, the ump has shown that's where his strike zone is today
  7. Looking at the path it's taking, it looks like that entire several hundred mile long storm will pass through Chicago come on, truffle, tell us a cold front is gonna knock it to our south in a few minutes
  8. He's been warming up for some time now
  9. why are you swinging at the 6th straight ball? OH well, I'll take that
  10. I prefer football games to baseball games, but Cubs seasons to Bears seasons. I'll watch a pro football game over almost anything else on at the same time.
  11. +1 Really though, His 3 HR's had fluke written all over them. That's not his natural swing and if he continues to try to jack everything out of the park maybe he'll hit 7 or 8 this year but he's also going to see his batting average plummet. I don't think he'll do that. So I say 4 or 5 total this year. I've got to say it's funny that this is still the last response several hours after he hit #5 in the middle of May. What an odd season he's had so far at the plate.
  12. This rain is going to last for a decent amount of time.
  13. Lee grounded what would have been an insanely easy double play ball to the 2nd baseman, end of inning
