  1. Completely different zone than we saw the last couple of games. Much better so far
  2. Aww he just missed getting it on the street. Nice hit
  3. Don't often get replayed Piniella press conferences during the Anthem
  4. Wow, another good game. And how many blocks do the bulls have? edit: 13
  5. Did you watch Friday? He still strikes out every time people throw him sliders low and away. the Cardinals either didn't have the pitchers to do that today, or forgot yesterday. To be fair, the starter yesterday had great movement on his sliders, better than any of the Cardinals pitchers who have pitched since he was pulled. the fact that he strikes out a lot doesn't mean hasn't taken a decent amount of walks in recent years. he did in 2006, did again last season, and is doing it again this season. Taking any number of walks is not inconsistent with being unable to lay off the low and outside slider. Unless the number is essentially 100% of PAs I'm not bothered by Soriano being good, and you won't find any complaints by me except those about contract length and possibly injuries. I remain completely correct in the fact that, over this series, 100% of pitchers who could throw sliders low and away got Soriano out. his non-outs are all from other pitches

  7. Both middle infielders were playing up the middle, so the Cubs were lucky the pitcher slowed it down
  8. It really is weird that ball one to lee is a strike to a left-handed hitter
