I just went a couple more rounds in my boxing class this morning. OMC, you need to find a better way to let it out.

I will be the first person to say my reactions to Cardinal related things are not rational. Last night was terrible, but that doesn't mean I'm not still really excited about this Cubs team. Does it suck we may play in a wild card game with 100 wins in 2016? Yeah, but I'm not doom and gloom. I'm just pissed the BFIB get to keep cheering for the best organization in baseball and that I have feelings towards that organization that I don't even verbalize because my wife would try to put me in an asylum if she heard what is going through my head when we play them. And there are really people on here who aren't buying into us as legit contenders yet? I don't think Bryant is even making his best contact right now, but he is staying within himself and mentally dominating this game right now. Russell is making quick strides. I am not worried about Soler figuring it out. Everything we were hoping to see has pretty much been happening and people are magnifying the trouble spots because of a 3-game losing streak. Edit: just read the post above mine. What he said.

I get not being happy with the fatalism around here, but it's pretty freaking easy when you take into account the conglomeration of everything leading up to tonight and then what happened tonight. Hopefully, this is one of those random threads we pull up in the future (hopefully later this year) and laugh at, but if this game doesn't hit you in the gut pretty hard then you're a better person than me.

Yeah, I don't think I'm watching this series at all. Not going to let my week get ruined. Also, even if we win 3/4 the 1 loss will make me so angry because Cardinals.

Did anybody see the Cole Kalhoun review from last night that New York somehow clearly missed? Multiple angles showed Calhoun touching the base before the 2B caught the ball. Still stayed with the out call.

Man, not to complain, but 6 runs with all these runners is kind of disappointing.

Pirates pitchers at 121 pitches with 0 outs in th 6th. 15 base runners so far. Edit: it was actually 17 base runners

I like baseball without the DH, but it needs to be even and I think major market teams (like the Cubs) benefit from a DH, so I vote for DH in both leagues. Also, we have good hitting fat guys in the minors that may not be good defenders/play the same position as current MLB studs we have. -

Cubs have only forced 5 GIDP this season. 3 by Hammel. 1 by Germen. 1 by Coke. 2 were in back-to-back innings in Colorado.

Sure would have been nice to finally have an easy win without having to pray the bullpen doesn't blow it. Thanks, Jake.
