  1. Met fans are living and dying with every pitch. I love it.
  2. A few Brewers fans are whining, but - for the most part - they seem reasonable: http://community.sportsbubbler.com/forums/t/59693.aspx Yes, I've seen a few reasonable posts too, but on the other hand, the Cubs have already won 2 of the first 3, they have held up their end of being "competitive". One day off for everyone is not a sign of any disrespect of the game, which a few have suggested.
  3. I like to check out the Brewer.net game thread to see if they are whinning...In some cases, yes they are...
  4. Does anyone here really believe the Met's bullpen will hold the Cubs down next inning?
  5. Good. A one run game. It makes the Mets fan's heartbreak even more enjoyable.
  6. It's nice to watch a game with Howry coming in, and not be nervous what he does. Clinching early is our friend.
  7. The Mets look like the Cubs in the playoffs last year. Ugh.
  8. I noticed that too. A lot of screams, groans, and moans. Come on Micah, hit another one!
  9. Man, it looks like it's pouring out there.
  10. Why don't the Mets call their bullpen the "bullhowry". Simply pathetic.
  11. Wow. A standing ovation for that? I thought he looked very average, against a very average Cub lineup.
  12. Ok, I'm satisfied. Harden pitched pretty well, although his control could have been better, he looked pretty good in a "tune up" game against a team that is desperate to win.
  13. Good point. I knew this was the case, just too lazy to look it up.
  14. Is it just me or does it seem like there are a lot of empty seats at Shea tonight. I'm sure the attendance will be paid attendance, but I think there were a lot of no shows.
  15. I'm not arguing numbers. I'm arguing the fact that Lou will go with the experienced pinch hitting veteran player. Ward.
  16. If Ward's experience is so crucial, then why has he sucked ass all season? I tend to look at his body of work as a pinch hitter, not one bad year.
  17. Being a pinch hitting specialists is probably the hardest job in baseball, right up there with closing out games. Hoffpauir doesn't have the experience for this, Ward does. That's what Lou will go with.
  18. Really? You guarantee it? Ward does not deserve a playoff spot over Hoffpauir... and I don't even like Hoffpauir that much. Just a figure of speech dude. Jeez, have another cup of coffee.
  19. As long as he can decieve hitters with his changeup, he could be throwing 55 and 48 and still be dominant. Exactly! And not to make excuses but wasn't the gametime temp in the high 50's/ low 60's. He could be concerned with not loosing up and taking it easy in the early going.
  20. Unfortunately I think Ward is a lock. Although his veteran bat in high pressure situations will come in handy at some point in the playofffs. I guarantee there will be a moment when everyone will be glad Lou decided to take Ward over Hoffpauir. This coming from a guy who loves Hoffpauir.
  21. Somebody wants to be on the postseason roster...To bad there probably won't be any room for him. Go Micah!
  22. Dexter, I'm not trying to argue with you. It's just that you seem to have more negative concerns about things, rather than positives on a regular basis.
  23. There's a big difference between "letting it all hang out" and throwing 10 MPH less than what you usually throw. From the guy who is waiting for his arm to fall off. Thanks Mr. Doom and Gloom. Whatever dude, if you're saying you aren't at least a little concerned about the lack of velocity then you're in denial. Talk to me after the first inning of his playoff start, then we will see who is right...This game is meaningless, seriously.
