1. Hrabosky on the Cards broadcast speculated that it could be in St. Louis or KC. stl plz actually the stros might prefer it farther from IL I would totally be there. I wonder how much they would try to get from us for tickets. I just think the state of Texas should have more important things to worry about than a baseball game this weekend. Move it to a sandlot in Memphis for all I care.
2. I heard someone mention it earlier. Are they really considering moving the Houston series to another stadium this weekend, if so, what is the source of the info?
3. Didn't it seem like a good time for Lou to Hit and Run with Sori and Theriot? I said that to my roomie as Ryan came to bat. I love me some Lou, but...
4. Is there any scarier batter for the Cubs to face than this man? Maybe Carlos Lee, but the list is a short one.
5. I freakin' can't stand the Cardinals but I do kind of like Yadi. After the high tight one to Lilly, Yadi went out to tell Looper to knock it off.
6. Pitch might have been a little high, but too good to take there Fukie.
7. Over 50 pitches for Looper already. Can you say Cardinal bullpen...
8. At least Derek can't GIDP here. Come on D, a deep fly at least!
9. FELIX WITH AN RBI HIT!!! BE AFRAID, BE VERY AFRAID...
10. Don't forget to wipe your Arroyo.
11. I think I would have rather won 5 in a row 10 to 9.
12. The Brewers batting with the bases loaded are DFL in average .202 and RBI 62. Putting it in perspective the Cubs are batting .321 good for 4th best, and 146 RBI which leads the majors.
13. The Cubs batting average with RISP and two outs is tied with Oakland for the worst in the majors hitting only .208. On a side note the Brewers are next to last with a sizzling .209 average. I think Fukudome and Lee contribute to this stat on a nightly basis.
14. I just said the exact same thing to my roommate about 2 minutes ago.
15. Thanks Pads!!! Peavy vs. Sheets on Saturday. I'll go ahead and conceed the CC game tomorrow. A split would be wonderful.
16. Hoffman may not be the same, but he sure still looks intimidating as hell.
17. I'm a rolling thunder, pouring rain I'm comin' on like a hurricane My lightning's flashing across the sky You're only young but you're gonna die I won't take no prisoners, won't spare no lives Nobody's putting up a fight I got my bell, I'm gonna take you to hell I'm gonna get ya, Satan get ya CHORUS: Hell's Bells Yeah, Hell's Bells You got me ringing Hell's Bells My temperature's high, Hell's Bells
18. Wow, maybe he'll go in the 9th too?
19. I know it's a week night with kids in school and all, but I'm surprised there's not a bigger crowd at Miller Park tonight. Looks like about 25,000 or so. They'll be packed this weekend I'm sure.
20. I was at the game in San Diego last June when Maddux beat the Cubs 2-1. Hoffman was lights out in that game, and I had a front row seat for it. Probably basing my statement off that, although I was being a bit sarcastic about him going two innings.
21. I forgot about Heath Bell...Ok nevermind.
22. Anyone else here like to see an old school Save. Trevor Hoffman pitches the 8th and 9th. With CC going tomorrow it's not like they are going to need him until Saturday.
23. Am I crazy or would the Houston series = only missing one start... I'd sure rather wait a little and have him get about two tune-up starts in before the playoffs. I was just repeating what 670 Score said about Z being ready for the Houston series. That sounds a bit too optomistic about his return. After the dust settles they will probably wait longer to make sure he is ok. I'd say wait until at least the last home series against the Brewers or Cardinals in two weeks, if not longer.
