1. Totally. It's kinda strange. Only game I'm truly concerned about is game 3 against Baumgarner but hopefully we'll be up 2-0 when that happens.
2. Baumgarner post game pulse rate seemed to be about 70. Like he just woke up from a nap.
3. Sad Met fans is fun though.
4. Bochy ain't messin' around. Madbaum will be coming back out. I do enjoy looking at the faces in the Mets crowd though, which may make this all worth it.
5. Nice F-Bomb by Pagan on national television.
6. Cabrera is gonna get a hit here. Edit: or not.
7. Jayson StarkVerified account ‏@jaysonst Remember the last big hit vs Bumgarner in Oct? Of course you don't. He's never allowed a hit with RISP in a postseason road game (0-for-23)! That's just sick.
8. Arrieta is just as capable of shutting down either of these offenses as Baumgarner or Syndergaard. Short memory dude. i don't know about "just as" capable right now, but definitely very capable...and then they have to shut down our offense, not one of these. I just like the fact that Jake may be coming into a game 3 with a chip on his shoulder. He'd never admit it, but you know he's pissed that he's 3rd in the rotation. I think the extra rest is going to do wonders for him and he's going to come out throwing darts.

10. Absolute filth on both sides, although Sydergaard is a smige filthier. This is impressive.
11. The Mets rotation is pretty banged up so I guess I hope they advance. The Giants have the potential to throw Cueto twice and Madbaum once. But I like Jake's approach..."Who gives a horsefeathers".
12. Should I have said regular season Mr. all caps. Stop yelling. "Enough already" was a Brennaman quote from early this season when the Cubs were whooping their asses. Yes, but Brennaman was directing toward the Cub fans in attendance who where whooping it up. He was getting very annoyed how much noise was coming from a visiting crowd in their home park.
13. Cardinals down by 3 in the bottom of the ninth with the bases loaded and 2 outs. Holiday comes off the bench and hits a walk off Grand Slam to win the game. About 10 minutes later. Giants down 3 with the bases loaded and 2 outs. Baumgarner pinch hits in the pitchers spot and hits a walk off Grand Slam to win the game. :D Or better yet, Wainwright just gets shelled, the defense commits several errors, and the Cardinals are never in the game.
14. Clinch under 60 losses. Not a big deal at this point, but I like that LOSS number under 60.
15. I believe he said Rondon will pitch tomorrow. Wanted to save Strop, Rondon, and Chapman for Lester's potential 20th win.
16. Per Jesse Rogers: [tweet] [/tweet] Nice. =D>
17. Torn ACL. Reported this morning. Sucks for him and the Nats. Hate to see injuries like this.
18. Fun Fact: Monday 9/26 "The Cardinals had a notable attendance streak snapped on Monday as the club did not draw at least 40,000 at Busch Stadium for the first time since Sept. 24, 2013. The streak spanned 240 games. Monday’s announced attendance was 34,942." Contributing factors could have been the Presidential Debates? Just guessing. I would assume it's because the Cardinal fans are getting pretty frustrated with the inconsistent play of their hometown team. The sad part is they will probably still make it to at least the play in game next Wednesday because the Giants sure don't seem to want it. The Mets aren't lighting it up either. 3 teams stumbling to the finish line.
19. I don't know the stat, but doesn't Jake come out filthy with extra rest? I remembers seeing some God mode numbers from him on those occassions. I don't think the extra days for Jake to wait will affect him in anyway other than positive. He''s as mentally tough as the come and won't let time off make him rusty, only stronger.
20. I have a feeling he'll perform much better than he has during the season, but it won't take much to accomplish that. Still I could see him having some key hits to go along with stellar defense. My playoff MVP money is on Lester.
21. I remember back in 2010 the Bears had a chance to eliminate from post-season their hated rival Packers in the final game of the season. The Bears were playing for literally nothing, already had locked up home field and the bye. The Packers were in a must win situation win-in, lose-out. Bears played them tough in a meaningless game, losing 10-3. 3 weeks later the Packers got hot and wound up beating the Bears in the NFC Championship enroute to winning the Superbowl.... Now, I'm not comparing the 2016 Cardinals to the 2010 Packers, but it would be nice for the Cubs to remember a lesson the Bears failed to learn. When you have a chance to step on the throat of your most hated rival, DO IT! A sweep at Wrigley this weekend will go a long way to accomplishing that.
22. excellent news. gives him a week to pitch in a few games. activate bullpen of doom.
23. Posted before Monday's game. I'd say this worked out well as I could have hoped. Re: 9/12 Cubs (Hendricks) @ Cardinals (Leake) Postby mikeyt34 » Mon Sep 12, 2016 10:54 am Gonna be at Wrigley Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. Hate to see them lose any to the Cardinals so I can selfishly see a home clincher, but it won't hurt my feelings to see Hammel become the sacrificial lamb on Tuesday. Hendricks and Lester I want god-mode and keep it rolling.
24. Nice. Rondon looked sharp. He looks like he's throwing harder than was earlier in the year, looks strong. Magic #1! I'll be at Wrigley in the bleachers tomorrow night!
25. I was just getting ready to say Wacha looked pretty good right after the Fowler strike out.
