This would be just a monumental overpay.
  2. Tryptamine
They didn't get Painter but that's still a big haul.

Meh, I don't think too much of Gilbert I think you maybe hope you can get a Mike Tauchmann out of him. Tidwell has significant control issues and not enough stuff that you can just overlook it. I think he's destined for the pen. In my eyes they were both guys who were going to fall down the rankings once the end of year reports come out.

Supposedly the Twins are asking the Phillies for Painter in order to trade Duran which is absolute insanity to me. The guy was the #1 pitching prospect in the game pre TJS some have him a top 10 prospect in the game right now . I know he hasn't come back blowing people away, but he's fresh off TJS. Even with Duran being crazy good, hell no.

He got absolutely destroyed a couple weeks ago for 10 hits and 6 ER in 3IP against the Yankees.
  6. Tryptamine
Hot take, I found just about every character in that show unlikeable.

How are you missing the point? I wasn't calling out Jed. I never mentioned Jed or the Cubs. It was a general point that things need to get moving MLB wide because it's boring when nothing happens until the last 12 hours.

There's too many holes to address strictly through trade, they're going to have to bring some guys up and hope for the best.
  9. Tryptamine
Must have missed the part where I said he was.
  10. Tryptamine
Well, we're officially at the 48 hour mark, any time now would be great.
  11. Tryptamine
That's right Ricketts. Actively work to alienate your fan base. The team that got nation wide popularity thanks to WGN will be shrinking their audience even more.
  12. Tryptamine
    And that's enough for me
  13. Tryptamine
God he is yanking every pitch right now. His timing is way off.
  14. Tryptamine
Yup, time to get the pen up and in a hurry.
  15. Tryptamine
I mean they are balls, which would be fine if Misiorowski wasn't getting the same balls called strikes.
  16. Tryptamine
Well this has suddenly turned around quickly.
  17. Tryptamine
Boyd hard struggling. The Brewer's kid might outlast Boyd at this rate.
  18. Tryptamine
They're really going to let this kid get 5 innings after making him throw 40 in the first aren't they?
  19. Tryptamine
PCA has zero chance against Misiorowski
  20. Tryptamine
    Well, 56 pitches through 2.
  21. Tryptamine
    Shaw is the man.
  22. Tryptamine
    Boyd imploding here.
  23. Tryptamine
If you're the Brewers are you really going to let him throw 40 in the first and keep him in there?
  24. Tryptamine
If they're going to give him that strike zone, gl Cub hitters.
  25. Tryptamine
    Not when first is occupied.
