  1. I can't tell if this is being facetious; I feel like it should be though.
  2. Not often you see an offense go from top 2 in the league to bottom 2 in the league over extended stretches.
  3. Unfortunately the top and middle of the order can't hit for horsefeathers.
  4. Ignoring that OF assist he just had. Happ has a career 115 wRC+, is still at a 105 wRC+ right now in his down year, and grades out well defensively for a leftfielder. He's not an allstar level talent, but he's probably a safe bet to put up 25 fWAR in his career.
  5. So horsefeathers absurd how negative everything is on Caleb. Guy has a good, not great, rookie season which broke just about every rookie Bear QB record and you'd think he was ready to wash out of the league.
  6. The thing that stands out to me is that they're getting big time impact prospects. A top 10 prospect in 2024, arguably #1, a top 10 prospect in 2025 with another just outside the top 10. I don' t think the Cubs have had a top 10 prospect since the Bryant/Baez/Russell era. They've been close with PCA and Davis, and Eloy+Gleyber did get there, but not as Cubs.
  7. Good god, look at the Brewers. The Cub organization just doesn't do anything better than they do. #5) Jesus Made #16) Luis Pena #53) Cooper Pratt #65) Jefferson Quero #90) Logan Henderson After losing Misiorowski this year and a top 10 prospect in the game at the start of '24 in Jackson Chourio.
  8. Since June 7th, this team is 27-26. This is what they are, a mediocre team who got red hot to start the year. If I had to guess right now I'd say they finish 87-75 and get ousted right away.
  9. There was just absolutely no reason to do it before the season ended. It's not like there were going to be tons of teams ready to poach him from the Cubs. A completely self inflicted unnecessary wound which is what Chicago sports is all about for the last decade.
  10. They're at almost a full half season of playing at 121 win pace now.
  11. Outside of the TD run, I think the DLine has been pretty good. The secondary has sucked hard.
  12. I honestly believe there are guys who post on this forum who might be able to throw harder than Bagent. Good god man.
  13. Man this defense has been kind of hot garbage. The run defense had been pretty good up until that.
  14. Secondary sure isn't showing much so far.
  15. I'm kind of surprised to see Bagent's arm doesn't really seem to have made any gains. If he could just get his arm to average he'd probably have a decade+ long career.
  16. First impressions Monongai is not fast, runs a bit upright, but has pretty good vision. Luther Burden is significantly better than his competition today.
  17. Nice throw Zach Wilson, the hell was that?
  18. Until he can throw the ball more than 12 yards without having to put air under it, I don't want Bagent to ever be brought up as a realistic starting QB.
  19. It's just so strange to me that in a season with a hundred things to be optimistic about, this is the one where the fans and media seem overwhelmingly negative.
  20. The Rockies now have a -316 run differential. The 2nd worst this year is the Nationals at -142. Last year's historically terrible White Sox team had a -306. The worst run differential in the modern era is the 1932 Boston Red Sox with a -349. The Rockies still have 48 games to go.......
  21. The Brewers really do have a horseshoe up their ass this year. Andrew Vaughn who got traded for mostly nothing goes from a 42 wRC+ to a 215 wRC+ the minute he changes uniforms Quinn Priester gets added for mostly nothing coming off a 7.74 ERA in 2023, a 4.71 ERA in 2024 and now is suddenly posting a 3.15 ERA this year. Isaac Collins a 28 year old non prospect is putting up a 138 wRC+ which is higher then he ever did at any point in the minors So they've added for basically nothing, an MVP caliber bat, a good #3 pitcher and an all star level OFer. Totally and completely reasonable. I
