I'm with Kiley on this. I think the most recent draft stands a very good chance at restocking a system that has lost a ton of talent the last couple years. There was a period pre draft where things were looking pretty bleak once the AAA cast moved on.
Honestly I think the 2023 draft was pretty good.
First rounder Darnell Wright has been good to acceptable depending on injury.
Second rounder Gervon Dexter has been good and poised to break out into that next tier
Second rounder Tyrique Stevenson has been good
Third Rounder Zach Pickens is a bust
Fourth Rounder Roschon Johnson might end up being the lead back this year
Fifth Rounder Tyler Scott has been depth and stands a decent chance of not making the roster
Fifth Rounder Noah Sewell has been a back up and should make the team
Fifth Rounder Terrell Smith would have been a backup before the knee injury that will make him miss the season
Man, it's a damn shame they couldn't win the 5th game of that Brewer series. The division is still on the table, but it feels so much more reasonable if they win that game.
