  1. Through, what should be, 6 perfect innings against Corbin. Utterly embarrassing.
  2. Jed wanted to make sure the team was in a full blown tailspin before bothering to do anything.
  3. One of the worst pitchers in baseball and if not for Abrams losing a ball in the sky, they're a third of the way to a 75 pitch no hitter. That's a special kind of terrible.
  4. Wow, 9 people who actually have a chance to get a hit.
  5. Actively trying to lose wouldn't look much different.
  6. This is what the Cubs are when they don't have 3 guys playing at 6 to 7 fWAR pace.
  7. Way too many automatic outs seeing way too many at bats. Meanwhile in AAA....
  8. .460 ops, I don't care how good your framing is, that's pathetic.
  9. There's absolutely zero excuse for him being on the roster at this point.
  10. Lions gonna Lions
  11. What a steal. It's actually marked down from the 1.5M asking price back in October.
  12. There's no doubt they'd rather move Young and pay Sweat, but supposedly they were both available. I'd have to think Sweat would set you back like a mid to late 2nd in draft value.
  13. I wonder what it would take to get Montez Sweat who is reportedly available during the draft?
  14. You take the gamble because if he's healthy this year, he's going to get a huge deal next year. It's a chance to add an elite talent.
  15. For 2024
  16. It's going to take a trade and a fairly high pick, like a 3rd to get him. He was the #2 overall pick in 2020, He was the defensive rookie of the year and a probowler. The last two years he has been plagued with injuries, but talent wise he'd be going #1 in the current draft. edit: He's also still only 24
  17. Maybe don't walk the guy with the sub .200 batting average next time
  18. Chase Young's 2024 option was declined by the Redskins. That's a guy I'd love Chicago to take a gamble on.
